About this listen

Rollo believed that money ruled the world. Then his world came crashing down. Now, Rollo finds himself in a dystopian, corporate-ruled world where where greed and exploitation are the norm. Armed with a mysterious system, he must navigate a high-tech yet unforgiving society where survival means leveraging every advantage. Rising to the top won’t be easy, but it’s the only way to thrive. To rise, Rollo will need more than cunning—he’ll need to outmaneuver those who would see him fail. What kind of mark will he leave as he climbs the ranks of this new world? Follow Rollo in this Sci-Fi LitRPG Isekai as he uses stealth, cybernetic upgrades, and system progression to rebuild his power and wealth.

Excellent story, good narrator & good pacing. The LitRPG elements are there but not overbearing or chalk full of stat blocks. The story takes priority over the stats & it is pleasing to me. I finished this within two days of binging & kept me engaged the whole time.

Highly recommended.

Excellent Cyberpunk LitRPG

A great book where the LitRPG elements are present but not overbearing. The protagonist is written like a real person, who develops relationships with people who are more than a convincing plot point.

Character progression moves along at a decent pace without much plot armor. He doesn't come across your typical tropes in the genera, such as an overpowered item/teacher/ability other than your typical system information download. Which is later explained as something that already exists in universe, albeit in a slower information absorption rate.

As someone who has kept up with it on RoyalRoad, I can tell you it will consistently get better with time as well. Looking forward to book 2 in the series.
