About this listen

The Remnant’s of the old government have arrived.

They were kind enough to bring with them a whole new slew of problems for me to deal with.

They’ve started a war of conquest, lost a fellow Marshall, and have done everything they can to make an already dangerous wasteland a powderkeg.

Now they want to send me across the Cut, the most dangerous stretch of irradiated territory in the wastes, to investigate why the Rebuild America System isn’t fully active. I’ve fought the monsters that have spilled from it, and haven’t heard of anyone whose crossed it, and lived. At least, not until now.

I’ve got mutants to cut, cultists to shoot, and mysteries to solve. To most this would all be a death sentence, to me? Sounds like job security.

Book 2 of this gunslinging LitRPG Apocalypse Series about a courier braving the irradiated wasteland. Featuring a Weird West vibe, a detailed System, gunfights galore, radiation mutants, saloons, and endless adventure, it's perfect for fans of Fallout, Mad Max, and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Deadman.

Soooooooo good! And soooooooo much fun!

Ye gods soooooooo good! And soooooooo much fun!!! Book2 is even better than Deadman Walking, and I loved the first book! I actually started book 1 with trepidation because I hate zombies. But it's Not! So kick that silly notion right outta your head. Donavan (MC) is a Deadman his own race of people beings in this post apocalyptic world. Where Deadmen have been changed by nanites to live in this rad-toxic world. The human population, still living generally treats Deadman as the second rate class. Donavan is now a US Marshal in this weirdly westerneresque story. And with his gun ablazin he wanders the wastelands righting the wrongs, only stopping ta eat 'em if they truly deserve it. Donavan and his gun are the Law stopping the raiders and slavers whenever he runs across 'em. And killin monster beast's changed by radiation because thems good eatin! And he might deliver the mail along the way, his secondary job.
And wow Heath Miller's proves himself as a top notch narrator! And he's in top form as he jumps into this weird western!!!

Even better than the first.

Deadman Running took us to an entirely new area of the post apocalyptic world and I loved it. The lead in gave us more details about Donovan and the people he works with. Then you get to traveling to new areas and the story just shines. Creative new villains and monsters, excellent character development. Heath Miller does his usual exceptional job of narration maintaining all of the voices we know and love and introducing new ones for new characters. I’m finding myself more invested in this world and looking forward to book 3 when it releases.
Highly recommended.

Dark Humor in the Wastes

Another amazing entry! I liked the nods to the Fallout universe, the unique enemies, and uncovering the MC's history. I wasn't sure if the author could follow the first book, but they nailed it.

journey through the wastes

Heath Miller giving a terrific follow up to Deadman Walking exuding a gruff gravitas as Donavan, and the love to hate it patriot system. C.B. Titus hitting us with a great continuation of book one with no time skip. I thougoghly enjoyed books one and two and am looking forward to wandering the wastes again.

Unique

This series is worth a listen. I liked that the RAS was explained logically and it was easy to accept the otherwise odd notifications. I'm always looking forward to Heath Miller's renditions and Titus' works have been a pleasant surprise.
