About this listen

Devour. Break through your limits. Overcome adversity. Survive.

Evelyn has advanced leaps and bounds beyond anyone in the Crowned Islands, but in the world outside, she's still near the bottom of the food chain-a mere Category 0 in a world where the monstrous Titans outclass her ten-thousandfold. And unfortunately for her, it seems as if there are even more people out here who want her dead.

Alongside her new partners, she'll explore the wider world from subterranean kingdom to laboratories hosted in anomalous fragments and face off against creatures who could crush her with a thought. Evelyn refuses to bend; she will shatter her limits-and everyone in her way-or die trying.

All the while, Sapphire Clearwater's machinations continue. Nobody knows the half-elf's plans, least of all Evelyn, but she knows that she refuses to be a puppet dancing on someone else's strings.

The wider world brings danger. But it also brings so much more to Devour.

Titanic amount of bloody fun

Everything scales more in the sequel with more lore and more impossible odds to overcome. Its entertaining, but I do have a problem with a titan fight that was essentially skip as if they were rushing the book which was disappointing. But aside from one hiccup, I had fun.

Great (For What It Is)

This was a great sequel and definitely entertaining. After awhile, I did get exhausted at the neverending battles, and if I took a shot of alcohol for each time someone said, "I need to get stronger," I would be dead now. I realize that those are the major themes of the book so it is what it is, but man does it get tiresome after awhile. All the same, it was fun to watch Evelyn evolve more, both in power and as a feeling being. I look forward to the hell the awaits her next... mostly.

Sequel was better

Narrated well and had a more developed story, particularly the later portion. Better character development for both main and supporting roles. Paced well. Improved writing compared to the first. Interested in what the next in series holds.

Impressive

This audio book does NOT have enough listeners. I mean the CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT! Holy hells it is amazing. From emotionless sociopath to somewhat feeling person, and empathetic lover! You are a great writer! Can’t wait to see more books of yours!
Not to mention that the book seems to have just the right pace to it. Not dreadfully slow, not exorbitantly fast.
And the fact that the villain of the story plays such an active role in it makes it so much easier to connect with the authors creations! Superb!

Love the Power Struggle

Love the voice acting which adds to the story. The story is great especially with the power trip. Love the internal and external struggles of the main characters. It was very enjoyable to listen to.

The lack of plot

The plot armor was too thick to the point it didn't even make sense it it made the book lack any sort of seriousness, her character development doesn't make sense either
