Realistic

Realistic examples and applicable at work or home or with friends.

Enjoyed the spelled out examples. Often writers tell you “the what” without giving you “the how;” leaving one to guess how to execute the lessons learned. That can lead to further miscommunication and frustration when attempting to implement “the what.” Without a positive result.

Thought provoking and heart centered advice

I loved this book, it was a very quick easy listen. Max is amazing at articulating how small changes within ourselves can make huge impacts in the lives of everyone we encounter. Would recommend this to anyone not just about work life

Packs a punch

Max squeezes a lot of great content into this quick listen. It’s chapters are well organized and the stories and examples give great context to the lessons shared. Further, it’s completely transferable to any set of relationships- your company, organization, family and more. Love it

Inspiring and helpful reminders about improving interactions with others

After listening to the chapter I’m appreciative inquiry, I actually tried this technique in my next difficult situation. It did lead to reducing tension and getting to a better outcome.

Although the title is “Do Better Work,” the ideas are really about living a better life. They are reminders of the better way to interact with anyone else.

The author does a great job of narrating the book. You clearly see his passion for the ideas as he speaks. A thoroughly enjoyable listen.

Should definitely be narrated by someone else

wonderful book. my only bit of feedback is that the voice of the author is hard to run away with. nothing against the content, it’s great, but the author is not always the best person to deliver the book.

personally, it is my belief that we should leave the voice-over work to voice artists who truly hone their craft and are therefore able to help the audience submerge themselves in the lessons provided by the author.

Worth endlessly re-listening

Loved this! I will be re-listening and following along in the hard copy book many times over, as I continue to realize the many areas of my work & personal life that I can apply these lessons and practices.
