About this listen

In this spine-tingling horror novel from the actor best known as “Murr” on the hit television shows Impractical Jokers and The Misery Index, James S. Murray, and co-writer Darren Wearmouth, a prehistoric arachnid terrifies a stranded group in a West Virginia canyon.

Megan Forrester has barely survived the unthinkable. Six months ago, she witnessed a horrific accident that killed her husband and son, and lives with the guilt of knowing she could have done more to save them. Now, Megan hopes to mend the pieces of her broken spirit by attending a local church group’s annual camping trip. But the church group members—riddled with dark secrets of their own—make a catastrophic navigational mistake, leaving them stranded in an untouched canyon in the West Virginian national forest.

Isolated from any chance of help or rescue, Megan and the others quickly realize why this side of the canyon has never been surveyed by humankind: it’s home to a terrifying prehistoric arachnid that patiently stalks its prey through even the slightest movement or vibration in the forest. And it’s desperate for a meal.

Grief-stricken and haunted by her tragic loss, Megan now faces her ultimate test of endurance. Can she outwit a bloodthirsty creature hellbent on ensuring that no one gets out alive? When a single wrong turn can mean death, she only has one option: Don't Move.

GREAT LISTEN!

I really enjoyed listening to this audiobook. I'm a huge Impractical Jokers fan and was excited to find Murr was writing and reading his own books. Great story and his performance was very enjoyable. I could easily imagine his gestures as he was reading. The Impractical Jokers references were hilarious.

Horrible reader

Thru the whole book his voice was the same. Overly excited. Even during the calm parts.

Great story

I loved this book. It had suspense, drama and horror. The reader was easy to listen to and engaging. The story was believable especially if you have ever been camping in the woods and hear strange noises in the night. I would recommend this book

Great, horrifying opening

The opening act is well-conceived and well told. The rest of the story is not quite as gripping, but good entertainment!

And, in contrast to another review, I thought the narration was very effective.

a mediocre thriller performed poorly

My expectations weren't terribly high, but as a thriller/horror lover, I thought I'd take a chance. If I weren't short on books I would have given up after the first hour.

Bring Your UV Lights!

This was an interest story that I can not deny. The main thing I hated was the overwhelming macho posturing through the a majority of the story. The second thing is the knowledge level or lack there of on thing's about spiders. Like what the webs would be like for a big spider, how it ate, ect. I wanted more attack scenes with more descriptions even if they had not been on the main party. Besides that the story is overall alright. Your main menace for the story dominates an area that has not been traveled in awhile supposedly and cleverly does so. Put your stress filled and eventually terrified party in then have fun. It is your typical b-rate movie plot which just made it more enjoyable.

The narration wasn't bad at all and did not distract from the story in anyway. At least not in my opinion. It is read at a good pace as well.

Make This A Movie Now!!!

hat can I say? I picked up this book based off of the title and book cover not realizing I had already read a book by these great authors. Moving at an even faster pace than their other book, Awakened, Don't Move IMMEDIATELY throws you into the fire as the main protagonist Megan entire world gets thrown upside down.

A year goes by and she's traveling with a church group where once again... her world gets turned upside down. This was all with the first couple of hours of the audiobook, making me wonder how they are going make the remaining 5 hours work without dragging the story out. Well, they did it. Don't Move is hard to put down as Megan and folks try to avoid a menacing feet that you can probably figure out from the cover.

As mentioned before, it's fast-paced, hard hitting, and sit on the edge of your seat nerve wracking. I can see the threat as it chases its victims to their potential doom. Yes, certain plots were predictable... but that's like 80% of the books I read. I would love to see this in the big screen.

Scary and thrilling.

Not usually one for horror books, but I had to get this one based on the premise. Hard to stop listening. Well worth the money and a good pick for Halloween.
