If you love cozies then this litRPG adventure will prolly suit your fancy!

I can't believe that I didn't love this story, too bits. It was good and I found myself totally engulfed in the litRPG adventure, but unfortunately the MC, Violet felt a little childish. Now it could be because I've become jaded as I've got older, because I'm purdy sure that my younger self would've adored the book. Or that the voice performer's tone was a little too girly for the role... And then there was also the fact that everything was maybe a little too easy for Violet. Ya, I know that was explained away at the beginning, about her player friend goin by the name GodIAm who took great pleasure in finding bugs in the MMORPG they played. When he had just showed her the latest bug, and he let her take it out for a spin. And of course that's when she discovered that she couldn't log-out. Yes she was playing her favorite game for real. And yes, she quickly realized that she had to stop playing, and start living her life or die. The story also had several tropes that I love, like alchemy, delicious food 😋, and the teaching aspect of sharing information. Plus I totally enjoyed the flirty nature of the relationship between Violet and the Prince.
So yeah if you like a cozy now and then, go grab the book.

Stardew

I really enjoyed the story. The system, the farming, the world, and the characters. All of it was great. But the prince and violet (mc). I don’t know what it is about the flirting and relationship but it felt weird and made me cringe. Now this could just be me reading from a male prospective on a female POV that makes it so weird for me. It felt… cringy and painful at times. And dumb. Everything else was great. I just really did not enjoy this dumb trope and the cringe flirting. *shrug*

a calm and relaxing story!

this story was a burst of fresh air for me. no scheming nobles. the people are kind and actually helpful. a nice story about a farmer with an awesome cheat ability. there is not a lot of combat in the book until the end, and going forward in the next books I don't think there will be much, in my opinion that is a good thing. I'm all about learning about this world and it's people while doing a lot of farm work. if you like games like harvest moon or stardew valley you will love this book! I highly recommend it if you want to relax and have a break from all the violence and combat from other stories.

Good slice of life farming

Overall I like this book but the narrator wasn’t my favorite. The character is a bit immature but the narrator makes them seem even more so which isn’t bad but there are certain words that are not pronounced correctly! Not annoying or frequent enough to stop listening to the pretty good story but it’s is a bit distracting. I would have loved a different voice actor for either of the parent’s ethnic backgrounds instead. It’s just sounds like an American teenager and while it’s not bad it’s just not as fitting as I’d like.
Also this is very Mary sue everything is very plot armor. And while that’s kind of why I’m here there is a lot of dissonance between the supposed background of the character and the immaturity of her words, and her game knowledge actions and her words. Like I’m just doing to say and do these absurd things and everything is sunshine’s and rainbows. Definitely a special kind of fantasy world.

Overall I still liked it and I’m willing to listen to more.

No actual progression

I had high hopes for this as I love Stardew valley and cozy litRPG. The book starts out with the character already in world, we don’t get to see her deal with the transition. She already has billions of items and only needs to level up to use them. She doesn’t get to honestly move through the world. The performance is hard to listen to, the voice sounds like an AI reading with odd inflections and mispronunciations, I gave it a few hours and kept getting annoyed and there are too many good books out here to see if this one gets any better.
