About this listen

With the defeat of the Elemental, Arbor should be hailed as a hero. Instead, he is shunned, turned away from the Defiants by those seeking power and fearing his own. Having little choice, Arbor sets out with his force of gremlins toward the slave city of Fivora in hopes of finally being reunited with his sister.

Meanwhile, strange things are happening in the elven capital of Srila. An Infiltrator is stalking the streets and leaving death in its wake. However, the Infiltrator isn’t the only one with its sights set on the elven homeland. Karria soon finds herself tested in ways she could never imagine. As enemies close in on all sides, she must find the strength to push through.

The denizens of the underworld are stirring for the first time in thousands of years. Although their individual battles may have ended, the war has only just begun.

Love Soundbooth Theater crew.
Love Aaron’s work.
Story is great.

But the crew didn’t know that ‘marquis’ is pronounced “mar key” instead of “mar qwis”

Excellent with a caveat

The only criticism I have is there are a few spots where their on very long pauses. Long enough to make me think it got paused or my earbud died.

Regardless, I'm loving the series. I swear anything Annie and Jeff work on together is always amazing. The pick the best series to perform.

Jeff and Annie always pick the best.

There are a few 5 second gaps in story. Otherwise a good performance. Looking forward to next book.

The characters are alive with their own voices shining through!! Superbly written!! In my opinion there's a seamless flow between each book! Keep your eye on Aaron's upcoming works! They're excellent reads, and well worth your time.

I really enjoyed the plot lines of this book. The noble competition was the highlight of this book for me. There is good progress in the characters’ power. Thoroughly enjoyable book. The narration enhanced the quality of the book.

Excellent sequel

interesting story, but I found it really hard sometimes to get through the sister's chapters. fantastic performance from the soundbooth crew.

interesting listen, but hard at times.

It is worth listening to, but the writing can be a bit cringe at times. There was one part that used “and” where a “but” would have been way more appropriate. Stuff like that.

Sloppy editing good story.
