Easier to understand
Third book on this subject I've tried in a year and this is the easiest to understand. As someone else said, its well laid out, well narrated and feels realistic. I feel a lot happier and calmer lately thanks to the exercises in this book.

Actually really good.
I am a sucker for this sort of book, I have many in this genre about improving yourself and I can confidently say this is one of my favorites. I love to listen to this on my way to work.

Skip WAY ahead.
Like many self help books, you have to skip ahead several chapters to get to anything useful. This author spends the first hour of the books telling you why you should be interested in learning what’s in the rest of the book.
As frustrating as that is, the book does eventually reveal loads of useful information that helps you to improve. So get the book and skip the first hour to begin learning.

Captivating!
Being new to the whole emotional intelligence concept, I went in search of the perfect “beginner” book. Emily did a WONDERFUL job of teaching not only the importance or EQ, but also gave real life scenarios that truly made me take a few steps back and self-evaluate. This book has helped me in many ways and I’m eager to continue learning more about EQ. The narrator did a lovely job of reading and was very pleasant to listen to and easy to follow. *HIGHLY* recommend!!!

Friendly narrative and good intro to EI
Easy to follow and good quotes from other authors. A bit repetitive and doesn’t get deep into any point. Makes you want to hear more in depth. Overall I enjoy the book. If you are looking for an introduction to EI, this is the book to go.
