Seriously loved this book. These two ladies are so talented. I actually paused knowing instinctively that something great was going to happen at one point near the end and dreading the outcome. I just didn’t want it to end. After the hours I gave myself for a break, I returned to the story to finish it. Is so did not disappoint. I usually spend my time after a book thinking about what I would like to change about the story line. I seriously cannot think of one thing I would change. This story is packed full of strong characters, male and female. I love how they even make the Lorraine seem tough even though she is a nurturer. Good job ladies

it's one of those books that when you are done, you look back and go where did the time go? In a very good way. It's also amazing when you realize that all the voices are a single narrator, she just rocks the range.

Warning; this book ends on a cliffhanger and I’ll be chewing my nails waiting for the next!
Our fav fear twister is absolutely wicked in this latest book. Laz is now king and Quinn returns to his side as his right hand. Plots galore, personal demons to fight, enemies to expose, and relationships to Cleve ... and a glimpse at the big bad called Nero, I love that few books into series and the story is still coalescing, there are unknowns at play and that can get too drawn out in some series but is just right for this one! The characters are still exposing facets of themselves that enriches the story. The magic caste or system is unique.
What a great ride can’t wait for the next!

I love romantasy series where the female lead starts off really powerful and more than a little psychotic and this really scratched that itch for me! Would also recommend Kel Carpenters series “A Demons Guide to the Afterlife” if you liked this one and enjoy the “dangerous heroine” trope in your romantasy!
