Makes You Think!

This book is based on real ongoing trauma from a horribly dysfunctional childhood. It shows how one can internalize pain and how it can manifest into more dysfunction as one grows. I believe that a lot of the time, most folks don't even know they have become dysfunctional. It's when dysfunction becomes the norm that our scars tend to cover it all up. However, it always seems to come out somehow and somewhere down the line. The exercises in this book will help one to navigate through the misty waters with everyone intact. The notion of self love and self care take on a wonderful meaning as healing becomes the journey. I highly recommend this book even if you aren't around dysfunction, simply because it will help when you're dealing with someone who is suffering. All good information and it will make you think. We all need care and love, and this will show how to make that a priority both in giving and receiving.

Helpful info and good exercises

I've heard a lot of the "inner child", but didn't totally get it. I thought this book did a good job of explaining what the inner child really is. And I like how it gave a lot of practical and helpful exercises to use. I didn't know what to expect, but thought I'd give one a try. I actually felt really good after. I felt calm and a little bit of a sense of relief.

Very Empathetic

I loved the narrator’s voice! It’s very soothing and very appropriate for someone needing to heal from any child good traumas.

I like how it breaks down the process of traumas people went through and how it affects them later in life.

Also, I love the practical exercises it offers. Very good!
