About this listen

How Emotions Work: In Humans and Computers is a no-nonsense explanation of what causes over 50 specific emotions within the mind of a human individual, and how that model of emotions can be utilized to identify, track, and predict emotions in Web users (emotions being the largest influencer of buying decisions globally), and also how emotions can be programmed for simulated computer consciousness.

Based on a new Unified Theory of Emotion, this book reveals how all human emotions can be modeled and understood from a daily life perspective, and also from a logical computing perspective. Both technology fans and non-technology fans alike love this plainly written book, packed with real-life examples of how this new model of emotional understanding is accurate in explaining our everyday human emotions. In addition, the tech fans enjoy how this book opens the door to amazing possibilities for our collective future, and how it lays out how to computer model artificial emotions programming.

Dear AUDIBLE - I need the pdf diagrams

TLDR: For the record, the points should be 10/10 for Sean's content. BUT 0/10 for AUDIBLE ui/ux and outdated FAQ driving me INSANE.
Just freaking put a clear OVERT damn button that says "accompanying PDF". Right off the bat. I shouldn't have to go dig for it. and "hover" over images to get the options blah blah blah.
And IF you don't offer the PDF with your audiobooks anymore, THEN UPDATE YOUR FAQ and GUIDE PAGES. SO WE KNOW.
AND DON'T WASTE OUR TIME SENSELESSLY TRYING TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO ACCESS IT.

Detailed Review:
So this book is great, and I love everything Sean Webb puts out there because
a) it's really well put together and super comprehensive
b) it makes complicated things make sense in a procedural way which my analytical brain LOVES

for those same reasons,
when the accompanying PDF is NOWHERE TO BE FOUND
and i can't follow along with a visual
and these awesome book scenarios get more and more complicated- then it sucks,

Audible's online FAQs and guides explain how to find the "accompanying pdf" but when you follow the steps - The options they describe literally don't exist -

I rarely get aggravated but after searching online for the diagrams, trying the dumb instructions on the app on my phone,

THEN separately on my COMPUTER, then trouble-shooting,
then looking for a WRITTEN version of the book (doesn't come in that format) and
THEN re-listening to try again to see if i could just get on without the diagrams...

then i get really f-ing annoyed.

This made my short list

This book has made my short list replacing maybe the book on emotional intelligence or at least hitting the list ABOVE it!. Im on Chapter 18 and it has explained how all major emotions groups plays out using this, you could call it, universal theory of emotion. I am an adoptive parent to two kids with special needs and i can tell you this maps out the emotions and behaviors so predictably and explains why some methods of helping them resolve emotional barriers has worked, much to my surprise. I HIGHLY recommend this book just keep in mind it is a systems theory approach to understanding a very human trait.
