Excellent Book!! Mental Health Needs this!
I have been a child and family mental health therapist for 32 years. Things are so different now than they were that long ago. People are getting sicker and sicker and this book explains it all. I was waiting for the release of this book and it met or exceeded all of my expectations. I will be sharing this book with everyone! Dr. Palmer explains it extremely well. It is time to get more people on board and involved in making changes in the mental health field. Well Done, Dr Palmer! This is a must read for everyone!

Revolutionary Approach For Mental Health
Great book! Very brave and inspiring work. Dr Palmer is shining light on our disastrous collective mental health and woeful approaches. His Brain Energy theory takes a holistic approach, leading with science and the belief that mitochondrial function is at root if all dis-ease will change the way we approach mental health for individuals and the system as a whole. Awesome job! Highly recommended.

Very interesting and brings hope

A complete picture.
Thank you for helping me out the pieces of the puzzle together. For someone who has ADHD, middle aged, and was feeling the effects of decline this got my attention. I found out about this book from The Armchair Expert Podcast. I’ve already started changing my diet and have seen results of weight loss and energy gain. Could it be just so simple. I think so.

Must Listen
The Brain Energy Theory, explained by the author Dr. Palmer, hypothesizes that the common pathway to so many disorders described in this book is one’s mitochondrial health. This book was life-changing for me since I knew little about how important mitochondria were besides knowing they’re the “powerhouse of the cell.” I know now how so many different factors that affect metabolism contribute to disorders, both mental and metabolic, and will be more mindful of my and my loved ones’ health.

A fresh, much needed, highly valuable approach to mental health
Dr Palmer does a fantastic job connecting mental health with metabolic health, as only a true trained MD and psychiatrist could, His work transcends the mysterious cloak of “syndromes” and offers scientifically proven explanations of the metabolic underpinnings of mental problems. He also explains how a feedback loop can occur where the resulting mental problems lead to behaviors that bring on more metabolic problems, deepening the spiral. Dr Palmer and this book can be the vanguard of much needed change and bring immense help to many suffering people.
