Good read

As a neurodivergent individual person I find myself struggling with right things to say in social interactions. I appreciate listening to literature like this for that reason. I would’ve liked to have added more information on how to respond during rejection on some of the advice given.

Did not hit the spot for me

My impression of this book wasn’t what It I had inspected. Not to be too hypocritical, I appreciate all the information I listened to and did appreciate a. amount of information Mr Hovosky has granted to ponder.
My only point is n his writings, I thing he failed to help me grasp what he was trying to help me with. I am one of those that unless I have something to say, such as in a phone or in a text, I am too quick to get to the point. I don’t know how to carry a continued conversation.

I. The case of talking to me Grandchildren, I am no into talking about School, which is the first thing my Wife starts with, be it on the phone or when they come over or on the telephone. My conversation seems to to stop with how was your day? Now in the Wife’s conversations, she can talk for hours. I have listen in siting by her side and she ask’s open end questions. When I try that they don’t seem to last long and I at the end of what to say.

In Mr Hovoaskys book, he never give’s examples of each of his title’s. Oh don’t get me wron on an occasion he does a s I get the point and I am sure I understood, but I believe he should.

I spent Twenty Four years in the Army and rose to the rank of a 1st Sergeant, so i am not totally unable to talk to a crowd. I have been in the position of also on many occasions coming up through the ranks had to give classes. I have. Ono fear of talking in public. It is when I find myself in situations of of trying to hold Social conversations, I have no idea as what to say to feel comfortable. That is why I could not rate this book five stars. I needed examples of each as I stated above

Now as far as the Narrator, he did an excellent job on his part but, he could only on read what was in the book.

In summary, It was a informative book, save what I pointed out.

Well-explained!

I now have a whole different outlook on good communication and how it affects us. Very useful, well-structured, and helpful information. It's worth giving it a second or third listen. The voice quality is excellent, and I eagerly await more from this author.
