About this listen
Do you want more from life but don't know how to change? This audiobook will take you through a deeper understanding of what Interpersonal Intelligence is and why you should aim to build or increase it as well as step-by-step instructions on how to do it.
You’ll discover how to:
- Increase your level of interpersonal intelligence be a great listener
- Adapt to different situations
- Get lots of friends
- Enjoy social interactions
- Make good decision
- Create a positive, uplifting environment around you
- Date successfully!
- Improve your empathy
- And much more!
The lucky ones are people you’ve interacted with since you first set your foot outside your parent’s house. I’m talking about the child who walked up to you on your first day of school and invited you to sit next to them or introduced you to their circle of friends.
Later on in life, these naturally inherent character traits serve them to increase influence, get further up the professional ladder and achieve goals faster. These individuals usually go on to become leaders in politics, religion, or business.
The good news is that you don’t have to be born “with it” in order to enjoy the benefits of having a high quotient in interpersonal intelligence. I want to teach you that anyone can learn how to develop the same traits and skills to, not only take advantage from associated benefits, but also to grow as a person, increase emotional strength, and become a happier and more fulfilled individual. With Interpersonal Intelligence: Importance of Relating Well to People you can take your “people skills” to the next level!

They actually have vastly different styles and backgrounds. Yet despite their differences, great managers share one common trait: They don’t hesitate to break virtually every rule held sacred by conventional wisdom. They don’t believe that, with enough training, a person can achieve anything he sets his mind to. They don’t try to help people overcome their weaknesses. And, yes, they even play favorites. In this longtime management bestseller, Gallup presents the remarkable findings of its massive in-depth study of great managers.

People are the problem. They're always the problem. If a business person goes home frustrated, if they talk with their significant other about it, if they lay awake at night stewing about it, inevitably the problem is some person at work - a colleague, subordinate, or boss. Handling people issues is every leader's major headache. It's what takes up the majority of their time and - more important - the bulk of their head space. Every leader can and must develop this most important of all management skills.

Understanding someone’s pattern of behavior is the key to successful communication. Erikson breaks down the four kinds of behavior types - Reds who are dominant and commanding, Yellows who are social and optimistic, Greens who are laid-back and friendly, and Blues who are analytical and precise - and explains how to identify and interact with each type of person.

Story
In today’s work environment, the lines between our professional and personal lives are blurred more than ever before. Whatever is happening to us outside of our workplace - whether stressful, painful, or joyful - follows us into work as well. We may think we have to keep these realities under wraps and act as if we “have it all together”. But as Mike Robbins explains, we can work better, lead better, and be more engaged and fulfilled if - instead of trying to hide who we are- we show up fully and authentically.

Worth Every Penny
The writing is so easy to read and the stories are lively and very informative with out making you feel like an idiot. I like the fact that the studies are footnoted so I can go back and fact check, for my own reference, the chapters are short and give you a tip to try after each chapter is done. I highly recommend this book to anyone who deals with people on a daily, and well, lets be honest, that’s everybody.
