Diana is beginning her residency after a nine year break. Emily will be the Dr who is her mentor. Can they keep their secrets and avoid the growing attraction? The connection between the two is so full of sparks. The story of those nine years, and Emily's life unfolds the most magnificently delicious story. Abby Craden gives life to these beautiful women and the cast at the hospital. This will be a relisten often. I loved it.

I enjoy medical tv shows and books and this debut novel fits the bill brilliantly. Written with complex characters, Emily is rather cold and brusque as the attending physician who has to mentor and supervise Diana, the resident, who spent the last ten years as a drummer in a renowned rock band.

The writing is superb as each of these women face the demons of their pasts and navigate the drama among their colleagues. I really enjoyed the narration by the fabulous Abby Craden and am excited to read/listen to another from this new talent, Chris Zett!

Wow I loved this. I read Heart Failure before this where Diana and Emily were minor characters so I loved getting their full story here in Irregular Heartbeat. I should have read Irregular Heartbeat first but they are both amazing either way. This was a perfect medical romance. Chris Zett is such a great author and Abby Craden is the greatest narrator of all time in my opinion.

This is my first book from Chris Zett.
I have to say I was pulled in from the start. The MCs were well developed as was the actual storyline. I loved how it all came togther. There were times in the story I was stressed not knowing if the direction was going to stay the course.(brilliant writing). Every character in this story had an amazing part that made this book a must read.

Really enjoy Chris Zett’s medical stories. Abby Craden’s narration is phenomenal, as always! Loved this premise of an ex-drummer and a hospital supervisor. The story got a little slow in the middle, but then picked up. MC Diana deserves an award in patience when it comes to waiting on Emily to decide her true feelings. Not much angst or unnecessary break-ups, which I loved! 4.5 overall.
