About this listen

Climb the Tower. Feed the Town.

Blackmoor Cove has been pulled back from the edge of oblivion, but that doesn’t mean the fight is over. While the all-consuming Corruption pushes harder against their progress, Jack embraces his new responsibility to rebuild the broken people around him. However, none of it will last unless he enters the Tower every morning and defeats the vicious monsters within for their valuable loot drops.

With the Arcane Mage, Thymus, now in the party, they will climb higher than ever before, but will the 12 years of terrible isolation make the time-lost Hero unreliable when he once again confronts the unending nightmares found inside the Tower?

This “Crunchy” GameLIT/LitRPG story contains: item-based game mechanics, town building, countless unique monsters, boss fights, and cheaty special abilities.

Better than the first!

I'm glad I went ahead and gave book 2 a try, I was on the fence about book 1.
pros: great narration, just like book 1
-new characters and better development
-much more tower fighting, and tower explanation (most important for me)
-more town/world building
- more in depth in general

cons: I would like it to be a little dirtier, doesn't need to be scandalous, just a little more adult would be nice. Not a big enough deal to stop me from buying book 3 though lol

Very good sequel

Prax venter does so good on this sequel, I really enjoyed the first book. So I already knew I was gonna enjoy this one. I think this is a really good sequel to the story, so if you're looking for a next book in the series. I recommend this one.

The narration is peak quality like always. SBT always has the best narration. I think they performed this book really well, and it gets a 5 star from me.

Everything in this book was just awesome. I loved the action. There was little filler in this book, and the plot was amazing.

I give this book a 5 star without any hesitation.

Excellent book/series

This is a review for the first three books (I finished them all in 2 days). This is a fantastic series. I was a little skeptical after the opening of the first book, but by the 3rd chapter I was hooked. The concept is interesting, the system is fascinating, the characters are fleshed out (but not to the point of knowing too much), the combat feels real, and the creativeness of the author is unreal. I highly recommend these books and am waiting impatiently for the next one.

Super sequel

I love the cast that Soundbooth Theater our together to narrate this book. The always put out such high quality narrations.

I really enjoyed the direction this book went. The characters are interesting and fun. It was cool that the author got to narrate a character, too.

no more annoying stats

loved it, the narration is great but the minimal stat reading that doesn't take 30 minutes to say is a good change

The plot thickens

More of the secrets on what's going on are revealed but I can't help but feel like there's still more that we haven't found out yet about this world.

Narration is still engaging and very well done.
