About this listen

There's a silent epidemic in Western civilization, and it is right under our noses. Our jaws are getting smaller and our teeth crooked and crowded, creating not only aesthetic challenges but also difficulties with breathing. Modern orthodontics has persuaded us that braces and oral devices can correct these problems. While teeth can certainly be straightened, what about the underlying causes of this rapid shift in oral evolution and the health risks posed by obstructed airways?

Sandra Kahn and Paul R. Ehrlich, a pioneering orthodontist and a world-renowned evolutionist, respectively, present the biological, dietary, and cultural changes that have driven us toward this major health challenge. They propose simple adjustments that can alleviate this developing crisis, as well as a major alternative to orthodontics that promises more significant long-term relief.

Jaws will change your life. Every parent should listen to this audiobook.

Neither the general public nor most dental or other health
care professionals have a good basic understanding of this topic; unfortunately far too many treatment modalities that never address the root cause of why we have crowded teeth, narrow jaws, breathing issues and developmental concerns that can cause life-long problems.
This book is extraordinarily useful, and contains a wealth of information I wish I had access to prior to having children.

The narrator made learning a true pleasure.
Very helpful information about breathing issues, braces and an alert for those growing up in a digital world: Posture Matters. Chew your food and choose food that doesn't melt in your mouth. You will be glad you did.

there's probably a word for this but the "oomph" of narrator's voice is on the vowels not the consonants and it makes it harder to understand at a faster speed compared to other narrators

interesting content. hard to listen to at a fast speed

Great read-
Quick and to the point. Should be a part of every infant caretaker’s education. Knowledge is powerful and the author does a good job of explaining it on a professional but also approachable level.

This book should be given out at the hospital to ALL new parents! Such important information which ultimately effects us all. I’m on my own personal journey from having a small jaw which was blocking my airway by 65% and didn’t know until I was 40 years old

This was a great listen. The topic of dental posture seems to be growing more and more in conversations. It would be great to see a lot more scientific literature explore this.
