Publisher's summary

With the looming threat of death now hanging over his head, Roy makes the difficult decision to leave the crater. Unfortunately for him, leaving won’t solve his problems, especially those stemming from within.

With Aika captured, Roy finds himself banished to the Wilds, once again powerless against the forces of Buryoku.

Powerful forces are gathering, and he’ll have to make his choice quickly. Buryoku is not kind to the weak, and Roy knows that better than anyone. Will he rise up to reclaim what was once his, or will he fall prey to his innermost demons and fade into obscurity?

I have thoroughly enjoyed this series so far, the mc has his whiney moments, but it's still an interesting story.

Great Continuation!

Great story and narration!

Roy and Aika are back and on the run! Trying to advance quickly to survive, they decide to flee the Crater and search for a place to belong. New enemies and allies alike await our cultivators as they continue their journey into the unknown.

Mare Trevathan did a great job of narrating and bringing the characters to life.

Roy faces self doubt in this book, but as he works trough it the journey is totally worthwhile! I loved it!

If you enjoyed the first book in this series then you will love this one as well.

I can't wait for the story to continue!

Loved Roy but Aika not so much.

I enjoyed this book a great deal. It’s was very entertaining for the most part. I love Roy and his character’s progression. Initially, I liked Aika. However, Aika at times, she just got on my nerves. If she ceased to exist, that would be totally fine. She ruined what would have been an awesome 5 star book.

Good Follow Up

Author: Aaron Oster. Book: Light. Roy and Aika get into some real trouble trying to escape the Crater. The usual struggle and power ups occur. World is expanded. Some questions are answered while new ones arise. DRmz 9-17-24.

Not a bad sequel

once again the book delivers on all fronts, and once again it doesn't get 5 stars because of the add at the end.
