About this listen
Achieve Profound Discernment and Joy
Many people from all walks of life, even after their many accomplishments and experiences, are often plagued by feelings of dissatisfaction and deep questioning. These feelings may lead them to wonder if the life they are living is the life they were meant to lead.
Living on Purpose is the guidebook these people have been waiting for. This book shows listeners how to feel more connected to the people around them and how to be truly satisfied by the life they’re leading. It will help them get past the pervasive feelings of lack and dissatisfaction by explaining how to fill the hole that can’t be achieved by more money, more status, or the next big thing.
Written by transformational leadership coach Amy Wong, this book will help shift listeners to a mindset of possibility and freedom. Seamlessly merging her personal and professional experience with aspects of social neuroscience, Amy brings intellectual rigor and profound insight to the map of five choices that will lead the listeners solidly back to themselves.

Story
Many of us live and operate from a mind-set of lack, scarcity, and limitation. We focus on what we don’t have - financial security, confidence, an intimate relationship - which keeps us feeling insecure and inadequate. We think “if only I could have those things, I could be happy”. But measuring wealth by money or material possessions leaves us feeling drained and spiritually empty. Constantly striving for more often means our ego is driving our thoughts, actions, and reactions, which prevents us from reaching something greater.

Story
None of us had a perfect childhood; we are all carrying around behaviors that don’t serve us—and may in fact be hurting us. But it doesn’t have to be that way, says licensed marriage and family therapist Vienna Pharaon. Our past might create our patterns, but we can change those patterns for the better...with the right tools. In The Origins of You, Pharaon has unlocked a healing process to help us understand our Family of Origin—the family and framework we grew up within—and examine what worked (and didn’t) in that system.

Story
Yung Pueblo’s path to deep healing began only after years of drug abuse had taken a toll on his mind and body. Searching for a way forward, he found that by honestly examining and addressing the anxieties and fears that he had been running away from, he no longer felt like a stranger inside of his heart and mind. And once he dedicated himself to meditation and trusting his intuition, he started to finally feel mentally lighter, with more love emerging from within. This was not an easy journey, and it's one that he is still on, but it showed him that real healing is possible.

This suffering emerges in crippling self-judgments and conflicts in our relationships, in addictions and perfectionism, in loneliness and overwork - all the forces that keep our lives constricted and unfulfilled. Radical Acceptance offers a path to freedom, including the day-to-day practical guidance developed over Dr. Brach's 20 years of work with therapy clients and Buddhist students.

In this revolutionary book, renowned physician Gabor Maté eloquently dissects how in Western countries that pride themselves on their healthcare systems, chronic illness and general ill health are on the rise. Nearly 70 percent of Americans are on at least one prescription drug; more than half take two. In Canada, every fifth person has high blood pressure. In Europe, hypertension is diagnosed in more than 30 percent of the population. And everywhere, adolescent mental illness is on the rise. So what is really “normal” when it comes to health?

In this inspiring book, Blackson traces how surrender was a key factor in the lives of so many great people throughout history, and shows listeners how they can move past self-imposed barriers in their lives.

A genuine down-to-earth guide to peace of mind and joy
This book was really eye-opening and enjoyable to listen to. Amy courageously intertwines her own stories with seasoned wisdom, crafting a heartfelt yet logical guide for living authentically and “on purpose.” The five choices offered in the book aren’t just illuminating, they are a beacon for our own inner journey. Each choice nudges us to remember our own inherent worthiness. The combination of deep reflection and actionable insights have led to more mental freedom, joy, and meaning in my day-to-day. Highly recommend.

Amy nails it
The concept is great to be mindful of 5 ways to live your purpose and how she reiterates this throughout the book. I will definitely tune in again. Thanks Amy!

Excellent book
This book is about how we are enough and may have labeled ourselves in our lives as not enough, not good enough etc at some point whether it was consciously or subconsciously and then it leads us to always seek something else, an achievement, buying the next biggest thing and feeling we have to be, do or have something else to feel better to enough. She talks about ways around this and other similar self help topics and has exercises or checklists of what to have learned from each chapter.

Easy listen.
The reader was easy to listen too. It sounds a lot like the William white cloud method.

Must Have for Anyone Invested in Personal Development
It’s nearly impossible to decide how to begin celebrating this book, the methodology, and the deep lived experience behind it. My favorite parts are the personal stories and the incredibly practical approach to becoming a person who lives, makes decisions, and enjoys life from a place of their intrinsic worth. This is literally a step by step approach to living the life you’ve always wanted - and I’m so thankful Amy was generous enough to share this blueprint with that world.
