About this listen

“I’m trying to meditate one day but urgent thoughts keep intruding. Don’t forget to take cupcakes to school! I have to prepare for my presentation for the wellness conference! Is that lunch with the other moms tomorrow or next week? My to-do list is stampeding through my mind, trampling any chance of tranquility. I feel overwhelmed, yes, but there’s more: I feel…guilty. Guilty that I’m taking on too much, guilty that I’m not doing anything well, guilty that I’m giving short shift to my kids, my husband, my job. And what about you, Mallika? a quiet voice asks. How are you shortchanging yourself?”

Living with Intent is a chronicle of Mallika Chopra’s search to find more meaning, joy, and balance in life. She hopes that by telling her story, she can inspire others with her own successes (and failures) as well as share some of the wisdom she has gathered from friends, experts, and family along the way — people like her dad, Deepak, as well as Eckhart Tolle, Marianne Williamson, Arianna Huffington, Andrew Weil, and Dan Siegel. She also provides a practical road map for how we can all move from thought to action to outcome. Each chapter is devoted to one step on her journey and another piece of her INTENT action plan: Incubate, Notice, Trust, Express, Nurture, and Take Action. Chopra’s insights and advice will help us all come closer to fully living the lives we truly intend.

"Mallika Chopra is a refreshingly honest writer who shares her transformative journey from stress, fear, doubt, overwhelm, procrastination and guilt into a life of true happiness and self-acceptance. The book you never knew you needed.

I very rarely write reviews, but this book deserves it. If you've ever described yourself as "busy", "tired", "overwhelmed", you've wondered about your purpose, or you just need something to lift you up from the chaos of the every day - this book is for you. I love Mallika's style and delivery, and while I sometimes thought she was a bit flippant about her background, her message is genuine and clear, and I believe it would be the same regardless of her status. Listen or read this book!

Good read.

Very practical information, easy to incorporate into a structure that can produce success. It is not about perfection but having a roadmap to follow.

motivational and enlightening

Mallika's book has a very interesting and motivational message.
Because it could very well be a snap shor of the life of any woman today, finding her meaning and way in life towards living with purpose, w
we can relate to its story and find new avenues to improve our, (in our blinded eyes), meaningless and empty existence.
I am glad I decided to by this audio book and I am eager to put into practice some of the tools mallika gracefully handed over to us.
Thank you Malika for an enlightening and refreshing piece of literature.

I felt like Mallika knew me. An honest, inspirational book. :)

As a 44 year old, married mother of two, this book gave me some perspective that I'll always cherish. (And you don't have to be into meditation to appreciate its wisdom!) Though now I might give it a try...
