About this listen

Marketing has changed forever - this is what comes next.

Marketing 4.0: Moving from Traditional to Digital is the much-needed handbook for next-generation marketing. Written by the world's leading marketing authorities, this book helps you navigate the increasingly connected world and changing consumer landscape to reach more customers, more effectively. Today's customers have less time and attention to devote to your brand - and they are surrounded by alternatives every step of the way. You need to stand up, get their attention, and deliver the message they want to hear. This book examines the marketplace's shifting power dynamics, the paradoxes wrought by connectivity, and the increasing sub-culture splintering that will shape tomorrow's consumer; this foundation shows why Marketing 4.0 is becoming imperative for productivity, and this book shows you how to apply it to your brand today.

Marketing 4.0 takes advantage of the shifting consumer mood to reach more customers and engage them more fully than ever before. Exploit the changes that are tripping up traditional approaches, and make them an integral part of your methodology. This book gives you the world-class insight you need to make it happen.

The strategies and information offered in this book can be useful to understand many markets nowadays. Even though this book was published in 2016, not all markets are the same and many of the ideas presented in this book can still be of great use in many parts of the world.

Me parece que es un libro que proporciona unas bases excelentes para el nuevo marketing digital, sin embargo creo que podría ser todavía mejor con datos más actualizados en una nueva versión!

Excelente, falta actualización

Great book covering all aspects of the digital marketing. Was hoping to hear a little bit more about customer big data mining but that’s okay.

Listen to it while working out

I listened to this book because it was included in Audible subscription. Expected to find some good ideas from the marketing mastermind.

But ca 8 years old, this information is already outdated in 2024. As a marketer, I got no good tips or reminders of precious info that I can implement i my work. Frankly, it gives a vibe of "written by old men for old men," a good example is a chapter on "Why it's important to market to women and youth."

It's a very topline overview and in 2024 reflects how fast the (marketing) world is changing.

Outdated in 2024

I can’t say that I disagree with the principles discussed in this book but I can certainly say that I didn’t learn much either.

No wow factor
