Got minimalist tendencies

Great book really gave me an understanding of what minimalism really is and that it's not just about getting rid of everything and living with bare walls. Also found out that I have a lot of minimalist tendencies.

Basing your decisions on your values

I wouldn't identify the theme of this book as minimalism, but as values. I would describe this book as a guide to help you identify your personal values and how to use them to make your best decisions in life, which is a concept that resonates with me more than the minimalist trend does. Furthermore, the narrator is excellent, due to her pace and intonation. I listened to the audiobook twice in a row for Ms. Layne's helpful content and plan on looking into more audiobooks

Very informative

I felt like I was given most of the tools and information to begin a minimalist lifestyle. There were several references to worksheets, but I don't recall a reference to a website to download them. If there was a website mentioned, it would have been helpful to remind the listener of the web address whenever she told us to write on a worksheet,as other audio books with written work required have done.

Very organized

This book has helped to encourage me in living a simpler life. We strive to spend more time together making memories than cleaning & organizing. The steps in this audio-book will guide the listeners through that process.

Great to simplify life

I loved this audio-book! Highly recommend it if you're looking to simplify! This audio-book not only gave suggestions on how to declutter, but it also gave reasons in our lives of why we should. Simplifying our home also allows us more time for ourselves and loved ones

Feels great to have it!

I love this Meaningful Relationships, also I am doing decluttering little by little, and I feel great and happy. This audio-book really helps by giving you ideas and guidelines to help clean up without a lot of stress!

Refreshing my memories

I like that it's short and get to the point. The most of the content is something I use to live already but it was nice to hear it again and also to find some new things to think about. I liked the narrator too that I believe did a good job to create the right tone for this book.

Ready to make a change

I've read numerous books on the subject of minimalism. The best, are the ones that acknowledge the emotional aspect of "things". I enjoyed this book because it has you get to the bottom of why you want to change. You wouldn't be reading this type of book if you didn't know you needed to change. The why is most important because it is what will ultimately keep you staying the course you've set for yourself. I've been through a great amount of loss at a very young age. I know I shop to escape the painful feelings of my memories or anything that is emotionally taxing. I know I accumulate clutter because I am avoiding my feelings and physically manifesting my procrastination paralysis. I also know that I have two daughters who I want to be an example for, and a husband who had seen me through very dark days. I owe it to them to make a change for us all. This book gave me great insights on ways to get started in all aspects of ny life not just my closet. I would definitely recommend it.
