About this listen

In Afghanistan, a US Special Forces pilot is shot down during a covert mission.

In New York, a mother is forced to flee with her two young children.

A wealthy businessman approaches Jack Morgan, head of Private—the world's largest investigation agency—with a desperate plea to track down his daughter and grandchildren, who have disappeared without a trace.

What at first seems to be a simple missing persons case soon escalates into something much more deadly, when Jack discovers the daughter is being pursued by highly trained operatives.

As Jack uncovers more of the woman's backstory, the trail leads towards Afghanistan—where Jack's career as a US Marine ended in catastrophe . . .

Jack will need to face the trauma of his past to save a family's future.

A good listen overall

I enjoyed this book. A good pace was maintained alone with appropriate action. I would happily recommend this listen.

Suspense

Grabbed me from the very first chapter! The narrator was excellent. Very suspenseful. I’m going back to listen to the other Private series.

As always the story line was great as was the writing!

The male reader mispronounced several words, consistently. What I found most disappointing was how he portrayed Jack. He is ex-military, owns a world wide organization, and has come up against some very bad people, but the intonation and inflection of his voice made Jack sound like a geeky teenager.

Intense Story!

It was an intense, fast paced story from start to finish! The plot development was superbly written with suspense all the way through the story. The main characters were excellent maneuvering themselves through the story with ease and believability! The narrators were also excellent!

This is GOOD!!

The suspense of this story and the peril was magnificently written!! The details and surroundings leading up to the events definitely puts you in the edge of the seat. I like that it picks right up after the Moscow event. Great read

Another good one

Liked the story. But it always bothers me when the reader mispronounces words!! And most of the words were simple, commonly spoken words!
