About this listen

The game has changed. After receiving a mysterious message from a famous Proxima developer, Chase Knowles takes a step toward an incredible future. With an important tournament coming up, everything seems to be working in his favor. But there are other forces at play, even if some of those forces are internal.

Wanting more from his relationship with Lady C., Chase goes to extreme lengths to bring her digital form to New York City through an android shell. Meanwhile, Iris takes over the dojo and focuses on the tournament, hoping to continue their winning streak. After a concert in Kingdom Ignis, their team is begrudgingly joined by a goblin from a famous guild known as the Mitherfickers, a member who may prove to be useful in the coming tournament.

A new opportunity arises once Chase learns of a rare mythcrea club, but joining won't be as easy as it sounds... The illegal Monster Hunt App continues to change the course of Chase's life, but it also forces him to make important decisions, several of which could come back to haunt him.

Listener Discretion is advised: Monster Hunt NYC contains adult situations, augmented reality, fantasy violence, a ton of action, and GameLit/LitRPG concepts. It was inspired by the Persona Games, Pokemon Go!, and Scott Pilgrim vs. the World.

Best ass-faced camel series EVER!!!

There needs to be more books/series based in worlds like this. Where the characters can go back and forth between the real world and the game world and combined.
I'd still be playing Pokémon Go if it was more like this book's format.
Awesome!!!
I'm giving this book 8.5 out of 5 stars.

Great Sound!

The additional sounds and great voice actors really make it feel like I’m listening to a movie over the radio, except I get to understand more of what is going on. Definitely a unique experience worth listening to. The story can be a little bland/frustrating.

Very good listen

It’s a very good listen enjoy the music in the background along with the sounds of the city, the ending seemed a bit rushed but still enjoyable can’t wait for the next one when it comes out.

What?

The audio production was excellent. The story was great until the very abrupt ending. there needs to be a 4th book in the series.

Enjoyed

The wild rollercoaster of stuff is fun. I hope he cranks out more of this series. It’s entertaining. The narration is awesome. Excellent job

Short and pointless

Not up to normal standards. Expected a better executed story line. May be time to move on to a different writer. Bummer I was enjoying this story.

Unfinished

There are so many parts of this storyline that barely go anywhere. The author fills the book humour instead. And occasionally repeating parts from the two previous books. And then the book suddenly ends two thirds of the way through the story.

just not as good as the first 2

I really liked the first book in this series. It was neat and new. The character development was cool, and the world development was better. The rules of the game were set up well, and I couldn't wait to see what happened next.

sadly, what happened next just isn't as interesting. This story gives the MC a windfall of money, and that just takes a lot of the tension out of the story. He even talks about how going to a tournament isn't that important, because they were doing it for money and they have that now. There just doesn't seem to be any more goals for them to be working towards, and that makes it uninteresting.

If Cooper comes out with another one i'll probably get it, but if that one isn't a lot better, i'll probably be done with the series.

fun

when I got the first book I thought it was a fun series and after awaiting fifty billion forever for the last book to come to audible I can say it was still kinda fun, unfortunately this book falls short for me a lot of waffling around and nothing of any real value was gained the ending was utterly unsatisfying especially when it just advertise to read other books instead of giving a conclusion to the characters stories. definitely regret getting into the series would not reccomend
