About this listen

Donor 3319 profile: tall. Blonde. Blue eyes. Medical student. Wanted for serial murder.

Christine Nilsson and her husband, Marcus, are desperate for a baby. Unable to conceive, they find themselves facing a difficult choice they had never anticipated. After many appointments with specialists, endless research, and countless conversations, they make the decision to use a donor.

Two months pass, and Christine is happily pregnant. But one day she is shocked to see a young blond man on the TV news being arrested for a series of brutal murders - and the blond man bears an undeniable and uncanny resemblance to her donor. Delving deeper to uncover the truth, Christine must confront a terrifying reality and face her worst fears.

Riveting and fast paced, with the depth of emotionality that has garnered Lisa Scottoline legions of fans, Most Wanted poses an ethical and moral dilemma: What would you do if the biological father of your unborn child was a serial killer?

Good story well worth buying

I'm so often disappointed with these books especially if it's a emotional storyline. But this was different; gripping, well organized and the wrong so good you could image each character as you read. Though Audible in general is not the customer friendly Ap it once was, it is the best one out there . But this business of limiting returns...well let's just say I am a customer of most NPR sponsors and O don't feel like they deserve that distinction anymore

Another great narration ...and story!

I've had this book in my wish list for awhile ...the cover had me thinking of sweetie sweetie homely blah blah :/
But, one of my favorite narrators, Julia Whelan, had narrated the book so I decided to give it a try. I am soo glad I did! I really liked the storyline and the characters. Had me guessing right to the end! Every character was well developed. It's hard to pick a favorite character, but I guess it would have to be Griff.
I am so glad tht I got this book! it was a great book!

Jodi Picoult?

This is a book I would have guessed Jodi Picoult had written if I hadn't known better. But I mean that in a good way. I love her books. This was a pleasant surprise and I was sad to see it end. There were no gratuitous language or sexual scenes to distract from the story, although there was a definite 'adult' subject matter given the serial killer backdrop. All in all it's a book I would recommend to young adult readers and up for a great weekend or beach read. Happy Reading!

An okay story. Requires suspension of logic.

Would you consider the audio edition of Most Wanted to be better than the print version?

Absolutely not.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

I was interested but not "edge-of-my-seat" interested.

Did the narration match the pace of the story?

No. A little slow moving. And the "male" voice of the protagonist's husband was B-a-d. So, so bad we cringed every time we heard it.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

It would have to be a Lifetime movie of the week. "Nuff said.

Any additional comments?

It is an interesting story. Makes you think twice about choices in infertility treatments - and how unregulated it is.

Good Story, Okay Writing

Overall I enjoyed this audiobook! The story line is very interesting and intriguing. There were points at which I was disappointed by the writing though ("Christine made a mental note" became like nails on a chalk board for me towards the end after hearing it so many times!). It was also somewhat predictable about half way through. Wth respect to the performance, I think the narrator did a pretty good job however I personally am not a fan of how they have women do mens voices and vice versa.

wow what a plot twist !!!

Kept me engaged and interested... I could not finish it quick enough, I wanted to know the truth... but wasn't expecting THAT twist to come up... awesome book. Granted it did havea few repetitive or slow scenes but didn't slow down my interest. My first book by the author I will go back a read others now.

Wonderful narration

I enjoyed this book. The story is well developed, sometimes a bit too wordy, but don’t let that discourage you from listening to the end. Very thought provoking on a subject that is current. In addition to the mystery that evolves, the author takes us through the emotions of infertility as it applies to the parents and the donor.

The narrator does an exceptional job of portraying each character perfectly. It was so easy to listen and visualize with the help of Julia Whelan.

Narration makes this an even better book

Christine and her husband Mark are finally having a baby, thanks to donor sperm. Then she sees the donor on TV, arrested as a serial killer setting in motion a series of events that nearly bring Christine’s marriage to a breaking point, if she survives.

MOST WANTED is one of those fun books to read on the beach or a lazy rainy day. Compulsively readable, I loved Christine’s gumption. I didn’t care that the plot was implausible, I just wanted to keep reading.

Lisa Scottoline is hit or miss for me and MOST WANTED belongs in the win column for its interesting characters and plot as well as the enjoyment of reading the words and turning pages. Everyone should have a best friend like Lauren and a lawyer like Griff if we’re ever in need. I can see how headstrong Christine could drive people nuts in an endearing way. I never liked Mark much, but he was somewhat sympathetic.

If you like Scottoline, mysteries or women’s fiction, you’ll like MOST WANTED.

Great start, but...

The main idea was great and interesting, however 1/4 of the way in it just changed into something different and by the end I was like, wait...what?
The main character was not very likable, actually the same can be said of all the characters.

The narration was ok for the most part, except the narrator made a super weird voice when speaking like a man. It was extremely irritating and I never got used to it. I wish she'd just read it. No need for changing your voice, specially when it sounds so bad. Sorry.

I'd say it's PG-13. Some violence. Some mature content. Nothing explicit.
