About this listen

A forbidden age gap stand-alone from small-town romance author Brooke Montgomery about a girl who connects with a mysterious man and her sister’s older ex-boyfriend who knows he should stay away…

Looking back, I shouldn’t have sent a half-naked photo to the group chat. But when someone asks about a specific horse saddle, I caution them to be careful or their ass will look like mine—covered in bruises.

While everyone makes inappropriate jokes, a guy who recently joined shows concern about my well-being. Turns out, “bruising like a peach” isn’t normal. One innocent photo turns into more and soon we’re texting every day.

The only problem—I have no idea who he is or his age. Even so, I find myself smiling at his messages and wanting to know more about him. Until the time comes when we’re supposed to finally meet and he stands me up.

At the advice of my best friend, I sign up for a dating app because I’m not about to let one guy ruin it for me. But one after another, they either stop responding or block me.

After stumbling across my sister’s older ex-boyfriend on the same app, I ask him for advice. I beg him to teach me how to please a man and how to have more sexual confidence. When he reluctantly agrees, things evolve between us, lines get crossed, and I find myself falling for the wrong person.

Except, I can’t shake this uneasy feeling about the mystery guy from the group chat—the one who never showed up. But people don’t just vanish without a trace in a Southern small town.

Only with Me is book four in the Sugarland Creek series. Each book in this Southern, small town series is a stand-alone and ends in a happily ever after.

Only With Me

Only with Me is the 4th book in the Sugarland Creek series. This book is about Waylon and Harlow and is told from both of their points of view.

Both Waylon and Harlow are going through some things. Waylon's brother keeps harming himself, and Waylon has to be there to make sure he is ok. Harlow's father is wheelchair bound and has his own battles, and Harlow went through a trauma as a child, and still has some lingering feelings from that.

Waylon and Harlow start chatting in a horse group chat. When they agree to meet Waylon stands Harlow up since she is his ex-girlfriend's little sister. However, they start chatting again, and Harlow starts asking Waylon all these personal questions and ask for help in learning how to lose her innocence. As Waylon helps her they both start to have feelings for each other.

What happens when her sister finds out about their relationship? What happens when their pasts come back to haunt them? Will they both get their happy ending? I loved this book, and need to go back and read the ones I haven't read yet. I also can't wait for Waylon's twin brothers story next!

AGE GAP W/ SPICY LESSONS FROM OLDER SISTER'S EX!

4.5⭐
Only With Me is the fourth book in the Sugarland Creek series by Brooke Montgomery, and it focuses on Waylon Hollis and Harlow Fanning. Waylon (32) is 12 years older than Harlow (20), who just also happens to be his ex-girlfriend Delilah’s little sister, and a virgin who still lives at home with her parents.
This book is full of tropes I enjoy, like small town, cowboy, age gap, spicy lessons, and more. It also has some heavy themes with regards to mental health, familial duty, and a romantic suspense twist. The hidden identity plot plays out like a modern spicy “You’ve Got Mail”, and I am here for it.
The spice in this story really worked for me. It included some things I haven’t seen a ton in books, like dry humping and mutual m@sturbation, and made it hot. I loved how Harlow wasn’t afraid to ask for what she wanted. She didn’t hesitate to blow Waylon’s mind with her requests for his special brand of sex education.
Having read several of the Sugarland Creek books, it seems the Hollis family and their neighbors and friends are sort of trauma (and drama) magnets, and this book is no different. Check the content warnings if you have sensitivities because this one starts off pretty heavy.
Thank you so much to Brooke Montgomery for the ALC review opportunity!

Absolutely loved this one!

I absolutely loved this one! This is the fourth in the series and can be read as a standalone but I would still recommend reading previous books as they are soo good. This book does deal with some heavy topics, from both the hero and heroine side of things. This book is about Waylon, one of the twins, and we really get to delve into his personality and relationship with his twin. They both deal with depression though it seems to hit Wilder harder/deeper and he deals with it differently. This book deals with the topic of self harm and depression with close family relatives/relationships. Harlow has recovered from an accident that was traumatic and very difficult. Her father is the one that deals with a lost limb, being in a wheelchair and the chronic pain and is the one that has some depression and self harm tendencies. Harlow is Waylon's ex's little sister. This story is age gap and ex's little sister but it is soo cute. Harlow and Waylon end up connected in a group chat that is for horse lovers and a bit like a support group/advice. Waylon is added by his friend but never introduced so he doesn't know who everyone is and they don't know who he is. Harlow and Waylon start chatting with each other in a side text and really get to know each other that way. Both enjoy it because of everything they have going on in their lives and the potential for reputations and history to have ideas formed about them based on reputation/family reputation and history so both are enjoying it being about what they share and feeling free and safe to share and be their genuine selves. This story was really well written and deals with the hard topics really well. I thought it was realistic and shows both sides and without judgement. Harlow and Waylon are so cute together as they really just connect and become a safe place for both to be. They do have quite a few obstacles to overcome but the biggest one is Harlow's sister and the fact that Waylon and she dated though it was a long time ago. This story really built the connection and it really worked for me because of that. The connection was so genuine and good for both of them. I loved when they started communicating and knowing who each other were. Waylon at that point knew Harlow was the one from the group chat but she didn't. I loved the openness in this one as Harlow asks for information and lessons from Waylon on dating and guys and sex. It was fun and balanced out the seriousness of the other stuff going on. I loved getting to see the deeper side of both Waylon and Wilder and can't wait for Wilder's book. Truly loved this one!
Please read the trigger warnings at the beginning of the book if you struggle with suicide and self harm.
The narrators did a phenomenal job with the characters and actions within this story! They really brought it to life and did such an amazing job with their personalities.

Gritty, honest, beautiful

Harlow and Waylon were two people who don’t seem to make sense at first glance, but they’re actually perfect together. They both are fiercely loyal to those they love, they both love hard and fast, and they both feel responsible for taking care of the people around them. There are definitely some heavy topics in this book, but Brook handles them with so much care, and it didn’t feel overwhelming. Harlow and Waylon’s love story made me laugh and cry, while also making me swoon continuously. I love these two!

Waylon and Harlow were Perfection!!!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
🌶️🌶️🌶️.5

Only With me is the 4th book in the Sugarland Creek series. I was excited to finally get to one of the twin's romances. This one was a little forbidden because it is a romance with his ex's little sister. It also has some spicy "teach me" lessons, but it gets complicated with a hidden identity situation.

Waylon has not been dating for a while because he has to focus all his attention on his twin, Wilder. His twin suffers with mental health and exhibits risky behavior. Waylon joins a group chat for horses that is anonymous, and he ends up building a connection to a woman. They had a sweet friendship and started texting privately through chat until they decided to finally meet. Unfortunately, when Waylon shows up to the meeting, he realizes the woman was his ex's little sister, so he ghosts her. He finds her on a dating app and decides to reach out to her so he can chat with her as Waylon. They really open up to each other, and Harlow asks for some lessons.

I loved how Harlow was such an inquisitive and innocent virgin who was not afraid to ask for what she wanted. Waylon and Harlow had such a natural connection, and their chemistry was off the charts. I loved how things seemed so effortless between them, and I think they were so open with each other. They may have the slight miscommunication, but other than that, they had such good communication. Harlow has been through a lot of trauma, and her family has been through so much. She has struggled with mental health from her previous trauma, and I appreciated how that was handled in this book.

Brooke Montgomery has done something special with this series, and I love this whole family. I am very intrigued to get to Wilder's book, but I have a feeling it will be another emotional one.

🎧 Audiobook Review 🎧
This audiobook was narrated by Teddy Hamilton and Ava Erickson, who are two of my favorite narrators. Their performances were top-notch. There is nothing better than listening to Teddy Hamilton do dirty talk, and Waylon has an amazingly dirty mouth. The scene where he shows her how he gets himself off is extremely hot. Ava Erickson did a great job showing Harlow's curious and inquisitive nature. This book deals with some heavier topics, and I think they performed those scenes with such emotion. I would highly recommend this audiobook.

Make sure to check trigger because this book tackles some heavy topics. brook lists them all at the beginning of the book, and I also appreciate that she has that included in the audiobook.

5 A Whole New Spin on Teacher and Student Stars!!

I’ve loved this series from the very beginning and this book focuses on Waylon and Harlow. Talk about an emotional opener though. I so appreciated the trigger warning Ms. Montgomery gave us too. It didn’t deter me but it also somewhat prepared me for what I was about to listen to.

Waylon and Harlow have known each other for several years because he used to date her older sister so there’s quite a bit of an age-gap between them. Harlow has experienced more in a few short years than most of us experience in a lifetime. What started off as something somewhat innocent as part of a group chat leads to feelings, confusion and some heartbreak. Little did she know when her heart got broken a little bit, it was about to be healed all the ways possible thanks to her bestie encouraging her and Waylon going after what he’s wanted for a long time. It’s only a matter of time though before it backfires!

I loved how this story progresses and we get to see the connection that Waylon has with Harlow even if there is an age gap. She comes to him looking for lessons in how to please a man and so begins so oh so steamy exchanges!! There’s an obvious connection between them, but there are a few things holding them back. Can they get past them though to find an HEA?

Their journey is emotional as they each have people in their lives that they love unconditionally and they will always come first and that’s something a lot of people wouldn’t understand nor put up with. This book also highlights the bond of twins and Wilder and Waylon, being the oldest of their family have their own struggles that challenge everyone around them.

I was lucky enough to listen to Teddy Hamilton and Ava Erickson bring this book to life and let me tell you something, I was so captivated by their narration that there were a few times I almost missed by exit on the highway or was squirming in my office desk chair during their “lessons.”

The past also comes calling and my heart was in my throat as situations come to a proverbial head in ways I certainly wasn’t expecting. I adore how Ms. Montgomery addressed certain situations and didn’t really hold back. Especially as important as they were to this entire story arc. This book and series is a definite must read/listen. Wilder’s book is next and I know it’s going to be an emotional rollercoaster unlike any I’ve been on recently!

Brooke did such a good job here handling very sensitive subjects with such care! Please be sure to read the triggers in this one before going into it as it has some dark and possibly triggering content! 🤍🤎 your mental health matters always!

This book was much different than I was expecting but wow, I read it so quickly! This had some of the most amazing and memorable spice scenes I have ever read! The banter between Waylon & Harlow was incredible and Harlow’s “questions” had me dying 😂

Ava and Teddy brought these characters to life so well whether it was during those funny scenes or the heartbreaking ones they did so well! It’s not unknown that I LOVE Teddy Hamilton with my whole heart and soul, and this was no different! He could narrate a dictionary and id listen to it with a smile on my face! Such a great performance overall! 🤍🤎 I loved being back with these characters in this world!

Waylon and Harlow

Sugarland Creek is one of my favorite places, and this series brings me so much joy. I adore the characters Brooke Montgomery has created, and I'm completely invested in their stories. Only With Me is book four in this series, following Waylon Hollis and Harlow Fanning. This story starts with an emotional punch, so if you have triggers, please heed the trigger and content warnings provided by the author.

Waylon ends up in a group chat about horses and starts anonymously chatting with a girl. As they connect more deeply, he discovers she’s Harlow, his ex-girlfriend's sister. Initially, he stops talking to her to avoid revealing his identity, but later finds a way to be honest with her. Harlow is inexperienced and wants to learn about dating, so she asks Waylon for advice. While Waylon gives Harlow dating advice and spicy lessons, their relationship blossoms into something deeper.

I loved Waylon and Harlow together and how vulnerable they were with each other. They developed a solid friendship and had amazing chemistry. Waylon had a mouth on him! Those lessons were HOT! I loved how protective and loving he was. Both characters faced challenges with mental health, such as anxiety and depression, adding depth to their connection. The mental health elements in this story are well-written and handled with care. This book is an emotional ride with a blend of heartfelt romance, humor, steam, and suspense. I love the Hollis family and can't wait for Wilder's story.

Narration:
Two of my favorites, Teddy Hamilton and Ava Erickson, did a fantastic job with this audiobook. They are the perfect voices for Waylon and Harlow. Teddy and Ava fully embodied the characters and really brought them to life. They are a really fun duo, and their captivating performances exponentially enhanced my experience with Waylon and Harlow's story.

Emotional listen!

This is one of those series' that just bringing me comfort every time I pick it up. This is Waylon and Harlow's story! This book brought out all of the emotions, so make sure you have tissues ready for these two!

💛Small town romance
💛Ex-girlfriend's little sister
💛Age gap
💛Secret identities
💛Secret romance
💛Spicy lessons

Waylon and Harlow have both gone through momentous and horrific things in their lifetime. And when they start chatting in a group text, unknowingly with each other, their connection is so strong.

But when Waylon finds out that it is Harlow he is talking too, he knows that he needs to back off. But the connection and attraction is just too strong. And when Harlow comes to him asking him for spicy advice, he is the man to give it to her. And that starts to form an unbreakable intimate bond between the two of them.

I love these two so much. Waylon has been the caretaker in his life for his twin who has had a lot of trouble in his life. The way that he takes on responsibility for him made me swoon and love him that much more. Harlow is extremely naive and that has to do with things that happened in her upbringing, but that is the reason that I loved and truly connected with her character so much.

Teddy Hamiltion and Ava Erickson did a fantastic job bringing voices to these characters. Ava was the perfect naive and sweet Harlow and Teddy personified the cinnamon roll caretaker that is Waylon.

Wilder's story is going to be epic and I cannot wait!

Another great story by Brooke Montgomery!

Only with me is the fourth book in the Sugarland Creek Series by Brooke Montgomery.

Teddy Hamilton and Ava Erickson nailed this duet! Hearing both of these narrators voice as both Waylon and Harlow help to visualize the scenes and not just imagining them with words! I don’t think any other two would have been able to pull this off as good as these two! Incredible job to you both!!!

Tropes Include:
• Cowboy
• Small Town
• Age Gap
• Forbidden Romance

Waylon and Harlow give us so much in their book! They have a connection that just worked with one another even through the texts at the beginning. Both of them willing to step out of the digital world and meet in person says so much for the trust they are each willing to put forth.

This book is so good but Teddy Hamilton and Ava Erickson as the narrators just took it to ta whole new level! Both of these are favorites of mine and they pulled these characters off amazing!!!

I can’t wait to see what book 5 gives us!
