About this listen

Book 2 of the award-winning series, the NecroSeam Chronicles, featuring the dual voices of Matt Goodson and Christa Burton!

Foreboding dreams. Visions of destruction. An epic adventure of mystery, magic, and mayhem.

The Orbs of Azure, relics of the Dream kingdom obscured in legend, are said to be hidden in Aspirre’s subconscious plane and blessed by the wise Shepherd of Dreams. Xavier and his twin, Alexander, have a destiny to fulfill that will lead them to the Orbs of Azure, in time. But with Xavier’s soul still trapped in his brother’s body, even Willow’s ominous visions can’t show her what it will mean for the world. But there is one Seer who has more answers...her grandfather, the King of Dreams.

Willow of Ashes was a fantastic opener, and Orbs of Azure took the story so far and ran with it. In this installment, Raine demonstrates her mastery of the balance between suspense and relief, between mystique and satisfying answers, and between action and deliberation.

From the beginning, the consequences of the villain's plot as well as the hero's actions begin to unfold, revealing the tapestry of the story to come. At no point does the story backtrack or fallback on delaying tropes for the sake of status quo, it's constantly moving forward and progress os always happening in a satisfying direction.

As before, the reading and sound effects are spot on and immersive

Good one. Great to see some characters getting their hands dirty. Also good to see some vailed secrets unraveled. One to book three.
