About this listen
Welcome to the world of positive parenting! As a parent, you have the important and rewarding job of guiding and nurturing your child's development.
One of the key aspects of positive parenting is setting limits, which can be challenging, especially if you're not sure where to start. In this book, we'll explore the importance of setting limits in parenting, and we'll offer practical tips and strategies for setting and enforcing limits in a calm, positive and effective way.
When parents are unable to set and enforce limits consistently, children may lose respect for their parents and may develop patterns of misbehaving without facing consequences. This can lead to increased insecurity and can have negative impacts on children's relationships with their parents and others.
Punishment, lecturing, nagging, scolding, blaming, or shaming can create negative emotions and may lead to behaviors such as fighting, fleeing, or freezing. Instead of focusing on punishment or correction, it is more effective to first focus on creating a positive connection with children and building trust. The renowned expert on education and parenting, Alfie Kohn, says:
“What best prepares children to deal with the challenges of the real world is, to feel supported and respected, to receive loving guidance and the chance to have some say about what happens to them.”
Using positive discipline techniques can be helpful in setting boundaries and expectations while maintaining a positive connection with children.
In this book you will discover keys in relation to:
Effective limits for structure and guidance
- Nurturing learning and development
- Maintaining a strong parental connection
- Encouraging independence and self reflecting
- Teaching responsibility and problem solving
- Positive parenting principles for happier, healthier lives
Take the first step to positive parenting, setting limits, and true connection with your children. Scroll up and click "Add to Cart".

The ancient Toltecs believed that life, as we perceive it, is a dream. We each live in our own personal dream, and these come together to form the dream of the planet, or the world in which we live. Problems arise when our perception of the dream becomes clouded with negativity, drama, and judgment (of ourselves and others), because it's in these moments of suffering that we have forgotten that we are the architects of our own reality and we have the power to change our dream if we choose.

Excellent parenting resource!
Parenting is one of the toughest jobs in the world. We all try to communicate with our kids in a positive way, but sometimes it feels like we're talking to a brick wall. Lucky for us, I came across this book that gives great guidance on how to lead by example and establish boundaries without resorting to control tactics that do more harm than good. The narration is fantastic and easy to follow, and it teaches us how to effectively deal with our children's emotions while giving them space to express themselves within limits. The best part is that it promotes open dialogue, understanding, and trust between parents and children, creating a positive and loving environment. With this book, you can learn how to navigate the challenges of parenting and build a strong relationship with your kids. Highly recommended!

Great tips and presented excellently!
This book is packed full of helpful, useful and real advice. Some of the tools I have used in real life - some I have not yet. These tools are also helpful from a leadership perspective, the kindness and compassion discussed in this book are applicable across many areas of life.
The narrator is fantastic, I like to listen at a high speed and many times I struggle to understand some of the narrators. This one is perfect. I have listened to more than a thousand audio books between audible and two other apps I use. Very impressed here.
Great book, worth your time.

Exactly what I need!
As a mom of a little girl with a very strong personality, I have to admit that fostering positive parenting at all times can be incredibly challenging.
This audiobook says it all. It teaches you how to understand your child a lot better -- from attitude, behavior, mood swings, to discovering techniques in encouraging them more effectively.
I've always been a huge believer of positive parenting. I want to raise a happy child with great level of self-esteem, and I want to accomplish this without having to apply hurtful approach or punishment.

Bonding and Teaching Kids
I love how this guide teaches kids skills that are harder to teach but just as important. It is important to learn social skills just as much as the subjects we learn in school. I love that this audiobook provides such a great sense of direction for how to teach and bond with your kids. I would highly recommend it.

Help Raise Happy, Healthy, and Responsible Kids

The authors provide clear examples and scenarios to help illustrate their concepts, making it easy for parents to apply the lessons to their own lives. The book covers topics such as anger management, decision-making, and coping skills, making it a valuable resource for any parent looking to raise well-adjusted children. Whether you're a new parent or a seasoned parent, this book is a must-read for anyone looking to raise happy, healthy, and responsible children.

Excellent resource for parenting!
I really enjoyed and got a lot out of this book. I have always been interested in the positive parenting approach but have never found a resource that laid everything out clearly. This book does just that! The book is outlined well and structured in a way that it is easy to understand the basics of positive parenting. There are many things that I learned and will take with me when parenting my strong independent seven year old. I especially liked chapter 4, stay with them closely. This was eye opening. I think the book was well researched and written. The narration is pleasant and easy to listen to. I'll definitely be coming back to this one!
