This was on its way to one of my fav books ever! The unrequited love with friends is great. The support and love they give each other is great and I loved their relationship. The narrators were perfect, the storyline was great for the most part.

It all got weird for me with the sex. Their first encounter was odd. I do think she put a lot of thought and effort behind why this dynamic of Dom and sub worked, it just got a lil much at times, but she did find a way to still make it loving in some spots. in a lot of ways it would have been ok but some areas I just didn't like. it's pretty strong with the kink and descriptions with this one. if that was more toned down this book would be 🫶🤌

Holy Swoon! This childhood friends to lovers romance had the perfect amount of angst, passion and laughs! Jasper is the type of hero that is easy to fall for, quiet, broody and fiercely protective, even with his busy hockey schedule, Sloane came first in all things. Prime and proper in her career and life, Sloane had her wild and rebellious side, and I loved seeing it come out with Jasper. She could be her true self with him and these two had chemistry in spades. Holy shower scene!

I loved that Jasper was so protective over Sloane’s heart and ultimately her happiness, knowing her scumbag fiancé was absolutely the wrong man for her and did everything he could to be the real man she needed. Sloane had no problem speaking her mind with Jasper, for years she told him everything, so when it was finally their chance to be together, she didn’t hold back and I loved that she wouldn’t let him stay in his head with his feelings. She knew the only way to get to him was to have him tell her EVERYTHING he wanted and needed. Dirty talking Jasper hits just righttttt, “Lose that ring and crawl….”Yes sir! And having Teddy Hamilton narrate those scenes, so hot!! CJ was just perfect as Sloane as well, she embodied that confident yet vulnerable character trying to find her way out from under her upbringing.

The chemistry and love shared between Jasper and Sloane really upped the heat factor in this book and I was here for it! Overall a great friends to lovers romance, with some great forced proximity moments and of course who doesn’t love a runaway bride moment, especially when a man like Jasper helps her escape! And I can’t forget to mention how much I LOVE Harvey, he really brings the laughs!!

Each of Elsie’s books keep getting better and better. Powerless is filled with heat, angst, passion, love and an amazing family - at least for one of them! Elsie is so gifted at writing stories that pull every emotion from you…this one is special, so sweet, tender, and full of love…there’s a good chance you will need tissues. So so good. Jasper and Sloane are some of my favorite characters. I loved the first couple of chapters…from that moment you know these two are going to take you on a ride. Loved having some of the characters from the other books make an appearance. Grandpa Harvey has a special place in my heart - he is so funny, sweet and a special man. Teddy Hamilton and CJ Bloom did an amazing job with their performance. Teddy Hamilton’s voice is so deep, delicious and growly which is perfect for Jasper. CJ’s voice is so sweet, kind and strong which is perfect for Sloane. They both give these characters amazing personalities filled with humor, banter and emotions. I love audiobooks because they being a whole new experience to books. I HIGHLY recommend this book…it is sooo amazing!

This is a new to me author, and I'm really enjoying this series. Each couple has a special place in my heart. Small town, big love...
Can't wait until the next book is released. The narrations in each book have been amazing 👏🏽 and I love how each 1 is different.

This is the spiciest book in the Chestnut Springs series so far, in my opinion. The chemistry between Jasper and Sloane sizzled! Long time friends with a lifetime of misunderstandings kept this fated couple apart. Their story had me engaged from the beginning! Both MCs were athletes, a hockey player and prima ballerina. Each came from backgrounds that couldn’t have been more polar opposite. Yet their friendship and chemistry couldn’t be overcome!

I highly encourage you to read the series in order. The characters reoccur and play a big part in each book in this series. Harvey, the dad of the Eaton family in the series, has me cracking up with his not-so-subtle joking, and it was particularly funny in Powerless. And I love how Jasper became a part of the Eaton family…truly touching.

Teddy Hamilton and CJ Bloom gave exemplary vocal performances…I was hooked from the beginning and didn’t put it down. TH is among THE BEST male romance narrators. I highly recommend Powerless!

I am really enjoying this series and am sad that it is almost over. The quick glimpses from Winter in the last couple books have made me really interested in her book. I hope she can finally repair her relationship with Summer.

Sloane and Jasper were so cute together. I've been reading a lot of friends to lovers books lately and they always give me all the feels and make my heart happy. I was really glad to see Sloane finally start to do things for herself instead of what her family expected of her. Seeing her stand up to her dad was awesome.

Teddy Hamilton and CJ Bloom did an outstanding job narrating this book. I've listened to another book recently with this narrator pairing and was so glad to see that they were paired together for this one as well. They always do an amazing job in their performances and are so enjoyable to listen to.

So I actually started this series so I could read this specific book. Jasper and Sloane’s story immediately captured my attention. And then in add in Teddy narrating?! Immediately downloaded this audiobook. Loved both narrators. Highly recommend.
