About this listen

The Game is in turmoil. All the players' strength and resources are invested in preparing for Restart: only 20 percent of the players will make it to the next era. Murders are becoming commonplace; bribes and nepotism are at their height. Betrayal is becoming an inherent part of everyday interactions.

The Game has spread its perfidious influence to the farthest corners of the Universe, affecting every sentient being. Will the Dark Judge reach the right verdict? Will he follow the ideals of his class to the end or will he reject them, becoming an ordinary player? Yaropolk must make a fateful choice: he is the Guide. The one who will launch the Restart.

Mediocre at best.

Overall this story is decent, but for some reason I haven't been able to figure out, the author decided to make the main character quite sexist. I didn't sense the same sexism in other stories by this author, but in this particular trilogy, the main character is so completely sexist, at times it wasn't comfortable. Though I wont give anything away, the title of this post also pretty much describes my feelings towards the way this series ends as well.

Its decent but ...

I agree with the previous reviews. The main characters are sexist however, the story supersedes the limitations of some of its characters. The ending of this series is well conceived and appropriate it also sets the stage for a possible new series based on events.

In context this series works

This books won’t stop being sexist and it’s really hard to get through. If it wasn’t the last book I would have returned it already

Got super sexist

I don’t know if it’s because the writer is from a different culture than mine but a good story is being ruined by a constant diatribe against women. This constant dialog and insults to all women in addition to all female characters being portrayed with spiteful, flaky, or emotional personalities is getting old. It seems as if the dislike of women except as fawning maids is growing in each story.

Good story but so much misogyny

so much so that it was unpleasant to listen to at times...
even though it is russian origin, not an excuse

very misogynistic

The farther it goes the dumber I get. The entire story is contrived nonsense and at no point is coherent.
Really disappointing.

WTF meds was author on? Clearly a talented writer who lost the plot.
