About this listen

He's the star hockey player, my brother's best friend, and the boy I've been in love with since I was 7.

The problem? He wants nothing to do with me.

Then why does he sneak into my room when I have a nightmare? Get jealous when I go on a date? And has a tattoo of my birthday on his ribs?

Lucas Knight's a lot of things. He's possessive, jealous and overprotective. And he just might be in love with me.

Angst-filled, heartbreaking, and kick-your-feet-in-the-air-giddy-inducing.

This is a standalone book in the Rule Breaker interconnected series.

Recommend as Book 1

Highly recommend as Book 1. Absolutely amazing and it completely shocked me, definitely not what I expected. Great storyline with just a little bit of spice.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Probably should have read this before Rule Number Five.
Anyhoo this was a good, fun, and emotional friends to lovers. With a little second chance sprinkled in as well. I love to see it. I hated how they both felt responsible, but at the same time it definitely made sense. The tension was… really all I could ask for. So good. I can’t wait to read the last book but at the same time don’t want it to be over.

good story

I was not sure how was I going to feel about this story since it takes place before the first book but i did really like it. I did feel like Lucas need to get his head out of his ass alot sooner but overall I like their relationship. And he did do a pretty good job of groveling so I was happy with that.

Piper and Lucas 😍

I loved this book. I am grateful I read a few reviews beforehand for content warnings but I really enjoyed this. I love the community of players. Jax, Alex, River, Shayna, Misty and Sydney are great side characters (some soon to be main characters). Can’t wait to read the rest of the series.

Loved it

Overall I thought this book was great! Some spoilers ahead!

It had a lot of angst and I wasn’t expecting one of the major characters deaths. I definitely cried a few times listening to this! Again it wasn’t a bad thing I just didn’t see it coming so it was hard to get through since I wasn’t prepared to cry lol!
I really loved every other part of the story as I’m a sucker for a good possessive, jealous, and sweet MMC! I agree with some of the reviews over on kindle that there are quite a few parts that had me wanting to punch the MMC but he made up for it by groveling and wooing the MFC.
The MFC was everything I love in a good romance book. Strong, sweet, and lovable plus she had a very deep and hard backstory which gave her character so much depth.
The story itself was very well written and made me feel all kinds of emotions and the spicy scenes were great!
The only three things I struggle with was the unexpected death, how terribly the MMC handled that situation, and the male voice actor himself. The way he talked sometimes made it hard to understand what he was saying and he sometimes didn’t pause when he should have making it sound like a run on sentence or not giving the scene the power it could have had if he did pause. Those are my only critiques and none of them were a deal breaker for me so take what you will from that!
