Publisher's summary

From Wall Street Journal and USA Today bestselling author M. Robinson comes a second-chance standalone romance.

We were together since we were fifteen, and we were supposed to be forever. But sometimes love isn’t enough.

I couldn’t let her go without one last night, to remind her that every part of her body and soul still belonged to me - she belonged to me.

For better or worse, she’s mine.

The day we go before the judge to make it official, I find out…

She’s pregnant.

All she wanted was a family, all I ever wanted was her.

No way in hell, I’m losing them both.

Amazing!

I am usually into more hard core books! BDSM/vulgar. But this was a nice break from those! 😍

Not an easy love story

This love story is far from simple and at times I questioned whether or not these two people could make it work. With the years of doubt and uncertainty clouding their relationship it seems unlikely that they will find their way back to each other.

I loved this sweet, but rocky, romance!!

What a wonderful romance! Although it did have its angst, of course, but Christian and Kinley were Amazing! Kinley had a hard life, but since they were 15 years old Christian loved her and took care of her. But when she decides to divorce him “for his own good” he refuses to lose her!! I love how he fought for her love!! She is one lucky lady!!

Incredible love story!!!

This book was an incredible love story that captivated from start to finish. Christian and Kinley have an irresistible and unbreakable bond that weathered the storms life threw their way. A heartfelt journey that was emotionally raw and full of passion. The storyline was well-written and the narration brought the story to life beautifully.

Love Love Love 💕

I truly enjoyed the way this book was written, I love the way it plays out how everything is explained how you’re in suspense to the very end. And in my book, anything that Sebastian and Maxine narrate is always a great listen. :-)

FMC gave me the ick

I think it was mostly the delivery on the FMC voice, but I found her revolting after a while. had to skip her chapters towards the end to finish. I'm not one to find a character whiny, but she was. Sebastian York is still gold.

Cringe

This was the first time I’ve listened/read from this author. To be honest the writing was cringe for me. I hated how Christian spoke to Kinsly, the whole “sweetness” thing was super cringe to me and made him sound predatory…It took me a very long time to finish the book.

It's good and very frustrating.

This was a good second chance for a marriage with two people who did love each other. It was very frustrating because one of the two, (the female), couldn't seem to get out of her, (own), way. She kept trying to save her mother and overlooking the fact that she was hurting her relationship in the process. Her husband was strong and completely on her side, but had to keep putting up with his wife putting the mother first. The author tried to make it seem like he held resentment for her not getting pregnant, but I never saw the situation in that way. If there was any resentment it was for his wife NOT seeing that her mother didn't care about helping herself. It takes most of the story before she, the mother, gets a clue that she is the one hurting her daughter. That's when she begins to work towards doing the work to get herself past her alcohol addiction.

The performance was very good and both Sebastian and Maxine do outstanding jobs as both male and female voices.
