This year, more than five million entrepreneurs will launch new ventures. Many of them believe they have the Next Big Thing. But very few startups live to see five years, and even fewer make it to 10. Even fewer still go on to become global success stories.
This audiobook is a practical guide to evaluating your business idea and a must-listen for all aspiring entrepreneurs.
You'll learn:
- That if your new venture doesn't follow the 10x Rule, you should not quit your day job and why
- How early customer development can transform a good idea into a great opportunity
- Which opportunities are worth selling everything for
Brad Feld and Dr. Sean Wise have been assessing startup opportunities for more than two decades. They have witnessed more than 30,000 pitches and participated in more than 500 startup launches. Now two of North America's leading minds in venture capital share how they determine which startups will succeed and which will fail.
This audiobook is indispensable for anybody who has ever thought about starting a business or fumbled their way through giving advice about starting a business.

What made the experience of listening to Startup Opportunities the most enjoyable?
I like how they went into all the different stages of raising money and evaluating your idea. What does Sean Wise bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
The pronunciation of the words project, disqus and a few other repeating words were very distracting.Lots of good resources for new entrepreneurs but..

Would you consider the audio edition of Startup Opportunities to be better than the print version?
I don't believe this is the right question to ask. Different people have different opinions on print vs. audio, and you can't possibly please everybody. Print is great if you're trying to dig deep into the text or want to highlight things and have the whole readable text readily available. I would like that with this book in the future. What did you like best about this story?
The mountain of helpful info and resources to continue my education.Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Sean Wise?
I don't know enough about narrators to answer this question. Sean would be just fine if he varied up his tone and brought more emotion to the reading. He sounds robotic in this performance. Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
I am only part way through, but based on the material I don't think any particular moment will "move" me. It is all equally wonderful information.Great Info - Monotone Performance

Listen to Sean's enthusiasm, hear it, then get the newer version in print and allow your minds ear to read it with Sean's inflection.
This version read by Sean Wise is superb.
