Critic reviews

“Matt Dicks is an incredible coach with a truly unique knack for engaging any audience through strategic storytelling.”—Ania Smith, CEO of Taskrabbit

“Business relationships depend on communication and connection, and nothing is more equipped to facilitate those bonds than storytelling. . . . By utilizing storytelling in your business, you, too, can build a timeless legacy and lifelong friendships.”—Alykhan Rehmatullah, cofounder and CEO of Kalpa

“This is your opportunity to learn the art of storytelling from a master craftsperson. . . . It’s your chance to be mentored by Matt and learn how to outsell all your peers using stories alone. Excelente libro para aprender a contar historias y enfocarlas en negocios

Super libro para aprender a contar historias y enfocarlas en los negocios. Es bastante parecido y usa muchas historias y técnicas que enseña en Storyworthy. Pero siempre es entretenido escuchar a Matthew Dicks.

This book is great!

This book is phenomenal. Once you finish it you’ll be a much better storyteller. But here are my pros and cons

**Pros**
the detail and structure on how to properly tell a story that will draw your audience in is top notch.
-I like the way he breaks down the science of telling all types of stories and how you can destroy someone who uses a slide deck if you can master the art of storytelling

**Cons**
This book is WAY too long, considering the amount of the technical detail in it. I would have preferred it be half the length because 12.5 hours of technical detail is just way too much. If I were actually reading this book I really don’t think I would have finished it.
-if this audiobook were 6.5 hours I think it would have hit the mark.

But other than that I’d highly recommend this book!

Good...but prefer Storyworthy

I'm a BIG fan of Matthew Dicks because he truly is a master storyteller. However, I recommend his book Storyworthy (5⭐️!) over this one.

Even though I am more interested in storytelling for business (the focus of this book) rather than competitive storytelling which is largely the focus of Storyworthy, I still enjoyed it more.

But you can't go wrong picking up either one.

This convinced me to do things differently

A ton of great and applicable concepts presented in a fun way. I took notes so I could make presentations better and plan to re-listen to get things to soak in more. I honestly wasn't sold on the idea of storytelling before but now see how it really can set one apart.

Matthew is a Dick

I listened to the point where he talked about someone stealing his TRADEMARKED idea. OMG... how pos person you have to be to bring that up. So, you stole the idea from the rest of the world by trademarking it. You are the AH not the people coming up with iteas in a way that might resemble what you put together baset on 100k years of stroy telling.
