Publisher's summary

Tai Chi can be confusing, but it need not be. As a matter of fact, it is not. The reason it is confusing is that you are not given the full information. Tai Chi masters and instructors are sometimes not straightforward people. They may want to keep some secrets, or maybe that is how they are taught.

Well, all these are not important anymore. This audiobook has been specially made to explain Tai Chi in a simple and easy way for practitioners to understand. No more head scratching to decipher what the master is saying, and no more guessing work. This audiobook will explain it all.

Things to expect from this audiobook:

  • What Tai Chi is and internal Tai Chi
  • Tai Chi and yin-yang
  • Tai Chi and chi
  • Tai Chi structure
  • How to train and things to note
  • Tendons training
  • How to be rooted
  • Tai Chi and health
  • Tai Chi as a martial art
  • Applying Tai Chi into martial arts

If you are having difficulty in your Tai Chi journey, this may be the audiobook for you. Stop wasting time on practicing the wrong thing. Understand what it is and get it right the first time.

Enjoy!

This book explains proper practice, not exercises

This book explains the goals of practicing Tai Chi. It offers many pointers for proper practice and what the practitioner should aim to achieve, like splitting the yin and yang in a stance and movement and the importance of strengthening the tendons. It does not describe exercises. It is not a training manual.

Good for everyone who practices

As someone who has practiced for over 20 years in Taijiquan I find this book summarizes the core concepts of what makes Taiji effective. I am grateful for the author taking the time to put it together so concisely and clearly for all to understand. If you want to learn Taiji then listen to these principles and it will save you a lot of time and avoid going down the wrong path.

Good place to start

the writing is simple and easy to digest. I was in search of a high level overview of some of the concepts prior to enrolling in a formal class and this book was exactly what I was looking for.

There is nothing like clarity.

The author makes difficult concepts clearer to me than any book I have read in the last thirty years.
Would refer it to any beginner, or anybody looking for new insights.

Makes it easier to understand the concepts.

I really enjoyed this book. Just as the title states, it explained concepts about Tai Chi and how it is done in principle. With easy to understand language and examples. The idea of the Tai Chi body and why and how certain actions are preformed. I would definitely reccomend this book to anyone that practices martial arts in general, as the concepts are applicable in different arts also not just Tai Chi.

Great material, nice and succinct!

Very good explanations of fundamental concepts of tai chi, leaves out all the poetry and ambiguity that can lead to mistakes and misinterpretation. Answers questions in a simple way instead of leaving you with more questions than when you started. Have a listen and go practice with confidence!
