Storyline fell short of the mark. Nothing made it a page turner.
Dialogue is well written. I could have stopped reading it half way through and not missed it.

Missing something

Every time I forget that I love Silva’s books about Gabriel Allon, he releases another. I smile most of the time I listen to them. This was another wonderful book to listen to. If you are a fan, make sure you listen to it.

Allon is the best character of this genre

This one has it all: great characters, exciting plot and amazingly timely view of the current world situation.
And a special mention for the narration of Eduardo Ballerini. He’s always been excellent, but this performance is special. He amazingly renders the many voices and accents with aplomb. Absolutely brilliant achievement. This one is exciting, thoughtful and, as always with Gabriel, a lot of fun.

Another superb addition to the oeuvre

A masterful weaving of current events into an all too plausible, albeit fictional, reality. The story is expertly narrated by Mr Ballerini.

One of Daniel Silva’s best

Although the author acknowledges his writing as fiction, this work is very close to truth.

Bravo Silva

I very much liked the addition of the female thief to the Alon team. I hope she turns up again!
This book was better than the last two; it was timely,
Interesting and of course full of action.
No matter what I’ll continue to read any Gabriel Alon novel.

An exciting addition to Gabriel Alon’s team

Always enjoy spending a few hours with Allon! This was no exception. Seemed different in that Gabriel was more on the sidelines. I try to listen rather than critique--don't want to spoil the experience. But--I loved the narration and the ease of pronouncing all the Russian names--so was surprised that the narrator didn't know that Ayn Rand is not Ann!

Another Great "Listen"

Narrator is outstanding, characters are believable, the story unfortunately is a version of reality in our world today.

A good twist to the close
