I have a hate and mix feelings about Bates, reminds me of Cain. I love how Penelope brought Crowe and Bones in the book. I can't wait to read Tyrant. I am all in. I hope she adds the Royals also.

I found this series incredibly easy to listen to regardless of how I felt and the story was fun and kept me interested from the moment it begun to both times I had to listen to the very last sentence of the books in this series and it's so bittersweet but not fair but as long as Ms.Sky keeps this series coming the longer the better and continuously At then it is well worth the wait. I am stalking the new releases just like I did the day after I finished book 1 and bet that is what I am going to be doing once another day or two passes:)

Wow.. there really should be an option to give a book more stars because this awesome second slice from Penelope Sky’s delicious Banker trilogy was riveting, pulse-pounding, tense, heartbreaking and heartwarming too. Cato’s been betrayed by Siena.. his trust has gone.. their relationship is badly damaged.. a brother’s calling for bloody revenge.. another will try to save his sister and Siena is due to be executed the moment she gives birth. And the rollercoaster relationship between Cato and Siena continues to whirl, to change, to heat up and to push boundaries.. but will it be enough?.. or will Mr. Cold, Mr. Ruthless Crime Lord, Mr. I. Don’t Need Anything or Anyone lose the one woman who unconditionally loves him?

Now that book 3 has been released, I eagerly listened to book 1 in this trilogy again to recapture the mood and twisted threads of Cato and Siena’s relationship as it began, picked up its pace but suddenly floundered. Then I binge-listened to this book as they reel from the shocking drama in book 1, establish new boundaries, recover from their pain and finally try to figure things out. Thrilling, gripping, addictive storytelling and the dual POV narration was perfect, brought the feels to life and gave the characters layers and depth as they verbally sparred, pushed each other and slowly made a tentative truce.

Worth a credit? OMG YES. This delivered BIG time. Over and over again Penelope Sky has written truly memorable storylines.. filled them with cold blooded alpha heroes and strong feisty heroines that I’ve ‘fictionally’ befriended and loved. They’re always deliciously dark and hot as sin. They’re a non-stop drama-filled rollercoaster ride full of suspense, tension and sizzling broody passion.. and they emotionally tie me up in knots and leave me wanting more more more. And yippee, more Cato and Siena is exactly where I’m headed to next.

Sienna almost lost her life if her birth control had not failed. Cato's brother was a much bigger jerk than Cato. Lucky for her, Cato has a soft spot for her although he tries not to show it. This is a great addition to the series. Michael and Natalie were outstanding.

Audible review. Dual POV. The Banker trilogy book 2. Narrated in an average American accent; Michael briefly adapts an Italian accent. There is one reading error in chapter 9. The Skull Kings are mentioned. Trigger warnings: murders; @n@l plug; @n@l; spanking w/a belt; and fist fights.

Landon (Siena's brother) helps Siena escape Cato, they buy a small house in France, Cato doesn't follow her because he put a tracker in her ankle and wants to teach her a lesson of how difficult life would be without him. After 2 months Cato retrieves Siena and takes her back to his home. Seina is just over 4 months pregnant, they find out the sex of the baby and give the baby a name. Siena signs legal paperwork that removes any possibility of her inheriting or gaining money from Cato. Siena tells Cato she loves him. Cato is afraid that if he tells Siena he loves her she'll have even more power over him. JP
