Publisher's summary

Welcome to the wonderful world of under-evolved bosses, style-of-the-week buzzword management, hapless coworkers, and other worthy fodder. Sound like your company? Scott Adams, creator of the Dilbert comic strip about a harried but determined '90s antihero, brings you his hilarious take on the bizarre realities of life in corporate America. You'll be convinced he's spying on your own company. As he says, "No matter how absurd I try and make things, I can't stay ahead of what people are experiencing in their own workplaces."

Editorial reviews

The Dilbert books have been wildly successful because author Adams hits the "hot button," as well as the funny bone, of anyone who's ever worked for a corporation. This book presents the everyday foibles in the world of work with a view from the cubicle. Adams's voice sounds like the guy in the cubicle next to yours, who has learned to deal with the corporate bureaucracy while poking fun at it. With just the right touch of sarcasm in his narration, Adams will have you laughing while you're shouting, "He's right!" Adams wins the Management Guru award hands down.

Dilbert

For those who work in the corporate world, "The Dilbert Principle" is full of hilarious truths. For those who have never worked in a corporate enviroment, this book will give you a peek at this sometimes inane world. Scott Adam's comic genius comes from observing the many absurd decisions. policies, and situations that come in the daily grind of business life.

The master of office humour

I've bought all of Scott Adams' titles at Audible
(there are actually 3, but only 2 seem to come
up on Audible's search engine).

A lot of the material is repetitive (over the 3 titles),
but every so often you'll come across an observation
that makes you laugh out loud, instead of just smiling.

Refreshingly Funny!

Hilarious ideas and stories. I really love the way he puts things. The seriousness of the business world is placed in a lighter, comical interpretation that is closer to reality.

Entertaining, funny, yet makes you think

Would you consider the audio edition of The Dilbert Principle to be better than the print version?

Not necessarily. I enjoy good old fashioned books still, however I take the audio option in order to be able to have the time to finish the book. I am always short on time, and its nice to listen to stories or topics I enjoy while typing away at the computer or sitting in traffic.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Dilbert Principle?

Snippits of real life management blunders that make you laugh and shake your head.

What does Scott Adams bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I enjoy his narration. It brings to life the book, and makes me think of his comics that I ejoy so much.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

It is a short book, so I was able to listen to it all in one sitting.

Any additional comments?

Light-hearted book on management in businesses, taken to the extreme. :)

It just does not get any funnier than this

I originally had this on cassette, but lost the cassette years ago. It was worth repurchasing, and I am enjoying it just as much now as I did years ago. The fact that this is read by the author makes it even better. This is one of those audiobooks that should be part of your permanent library.

Get the book. It is worth the read!

Scott Adams narrates his own book, the abridged version. The book is worth the read.
