Jeremy

Seeing my best friend West happy with his fiancé opened my eyes to things I’ve been missing in my own marriage. My divorce, which was amicable, followed. Strangely, at West’s wedding, I find myself confiding in Darren, the straight, confirmed bachelor and star quarterback of the Atlanta Lightning. Darren is a full-steam-ahead kind of guy, and one talk leads to hanging out, swapping phone numbers, and pranking West and Anson while they’re on their honeymoon. When I head back to California, I expect our chats to end, but I couldn’t be more wrong.

Darren

I still can’t say how it happened, how a random decision to strike up a conversation with Jeremy turned into...whatever this is. All I know is, months later, my days aren’t complete until we tell each other good night. Whether it’s on our calls or when he flies to Atlanta, we talk about everything, lying awake together half the night. Jeremy’s got me feeling...different. If it was just my newly discovered bisexuality, that’d be one thing. I’m not one to stress about being into a man for the first time. It’s the other stuff, the way he makes my pulse race and my heart swell, that’s throwing me for a loop.

I didn’t think I was made for relationships; I thought something inside me was broken, but I want it all with him. Except, it feels like as soon as we make it past one obstacle, there’s an even bigger one waiting for us. We just have to keep our heads in the game and our eyes on the prize to make it to the end zone, before one last tackle takes us down for good.

Fabulous!

Loved this book so much I immediately grabbed the audio when it came out. It was wonderful to experience this story again, especially with one of my favorite narrators-Iggy Toma- who was fabulous as always! Benjamin Charles was a new to me narrator and his voice for Darren was SAF, but I had trouble distinguishing who was talking during his chapters as the voices all sounded the same, I wanted a little more differentiation, but overall the audiobook was lovely and I was so happy to revisit this story!

It's been a while since I've read a book in one sitting without stopping, but boy I just could not put this book down! It was fantastic. I was hooked from page 1 and in love with Darren by page 3. It just had everything I love in a book all woven together to make such a wonderful story. A connection right from the start, not insta love, but just an easy friendship and pull toward one another.  Amazing dialogue--witty, sweet, flirty, and so much fun to read.  A sexual awakening done so well--Darren wasn't sure why he was feeling the way he was toward Jeremy, but he went all in and didn't shy away--he talked about it with people, met it head on, and was honest about it.  And what a glorious build up to their first times together, all firsts with a man for Darren. They steamed things up once they got together!
I also adored all the side characters, Wes and Anson from book 1 played a big role and Darren's family was awesome. While this could work as a standalone, I highly recommend reading book 1 first as Darren plays a big role and you get to know him before diving into his story here.
Oh I just loved this book! Riley Hart wrote a gem of a story that gave me all the swoony feels and put a big smile on my face!

Amazing

read this book first because I orginally didn't think book 1 sounded interesting but now I am totally invested and need to go back! I loved these characters so much. I loved the friendships, the family relationships, the love.. everything! Darren and Jeremy's relationship started off so sweet and sincere as friends and the buildup and progression was phenomenal!

Another incredible story & audio in this series!!!

I had to immediately jump to this book after The Endgame to hear Jeremy and Darren’s book! Jeremy was best friend’s with Weston and Darren was on the same NFL team as Anson and was best friends with him. The best friends of two best friends coming together! I really enjoyed their friends to lovers journey with sexy banter, cute nicknames, a bi-awakening and the best part…communication!

Another fantastic narration in this series!! I was so happy to see that Iggy Toma was narrating this one again! He was the perfect lighter and playful tone for Jeremy’s personality and his voice is just so enjoyable to listen to! I also loved that a 2nd narrator was added for this book! Benjamin Charles’s deeper baritone voice was exactly what I imagined for Darren! Both of their voices flowed so well together creating an audio that is just so easy to listen to!

Hot addition

When I first started listening, I wasn't sure I was going to like the narrative pair... well, it gets better the longer you listen. Benjamin Charles is new to me but, Iggy Toma is one of my favorites. this is a hot first time gay/bisexual sports romance that can be listened to as a standalone even though it's book two of a series. smoking hot sexy scenes and a really good plot/storyline.
well worth the credit and your time to listen...

Meaningful

Story was a bit stretched out but characters were well developed as were the obstacles in the lovers’ way. The coming out scenes were moving and realistic from what I know. The early tension between the lovers was well created.

Loved it

Excellent 2nd book. Iggy was awesome as always, Love u Iggy

My 1st time hearing Benjamin Charles and I wasn't disappointed, I'll be checking out several other books with Benjamin Charles.

I recommend this book, its worth the $$ and/or credit.

If you haven't listened to the 1st book, listen to it before this book, I've listened to it about 20x already since buying it 4/30/21 I love the 1st book.

I hope there's a 3rd book and includes Anson, West, Barren and Jeremy love both couples.
I'd like to see Jer Bear & Dare get married

Excellent narration, beautiful story

I liked both stories in this series, and I like that their not carbon copies. I especially enjoyed the dual narration of this one. This was my first time listening to Benjamin (? - Darren's narrator), and wow, I want more. So on point. This book is absolutely worth a credit.
