Publisher's summary

"Screw the System. I just want to Cultivate."

Long Fang is stranded in a foreign world where proper cultivation has been replaced by annoying blue screens. He is confused and alone...but not for long.

Completely ignoring the System, he forms a wholesome sect of followers to spread cultivation across the wild world. Blue screens do not take kindly to rejection, however, and Long Fang’s stubbornness soon finds him pitted against increasingly dangerous foes.

To overcome the System tribulations, he must quickly grow stronger and wiser.... But first, he needs to get past that one annoying town guard.

Experience the start of an ambitious LitRPG/Xianxia mash-up. It’s perfect for fans of either genre and lovers of all things Progression Fantasy.

About the series: Follow the path of a Xianxia cultivator in a LitRPG setting. See him increase his powers and carve out a new home in a hostile world out to get him. Rejoice as he spreads cultivation to those in need, each with their own story to tell. In this journey, wholesomeness and epicness go hand in hand.

Not quite there

I made it almost three hours in before returning. It started out with what I thought would be an interesting concept. Unfortunately the writing just didn’t hold up. It isn’t horrible, just average for a litrpg/cultivation novel.

Good start to a new series

First to get it out of the way, I was given this free copy at my request without any requirement of a review.
that out of the way, this is a fun story to be pulled along with. I found it easy to be drawn in and carried along through the narrative. I found it to be a great story to listen to on my commute to work.
I look forward to the next installment.

NPC Lit-RPG

it reads like a Lit-RPG but everyone is NPCs. Main character is thrust into this universe from his own and has to make his way while not being a part of the system. Can't wait for book 2

The “cleanness” and “politeness “ are really different

At first I didn’t know if I would listen to the second book, but the goodness of the characters fighting the System and the other evils takes you in. At first the main character is just trying to find his place in a new world applying his knowledge and abilities to advance, but through other people he meets he starts to take in a view more encompassing the “right thing to do” which just becomes more motivation for him. Of course, I need to see what happens next…

So good

this series was nothing like I thought it'd be. This system vs cultivation series is sooo good. the fighting and the explanation of the cultivation and aspects from a cultivation book and litrpg book. The fighting is very detailed and you can tell the author put alot of time into this series. I will say the Mc is kinda dumb some times tho, doing things that noone would do. The narrator wasn't bad or anything like that, the characters were likeable. None of them made me mad.

this story is for you if you like books where the Mc gets isekaied in a new world. The way the Mc just refuses to use the system is annoying but it makes sense. The ending was the best part of this story, then the start, then the middle. I also like the premise and the concept of this book. This idea was really good and if you're looking at this story than you need to buy it. The mc is a wind cultivater with a wimpy friend that just makes the story come together.

Not very knowledgeable

Cultivation is over simplified and the system is almost not explained at all. The authors idea of having the two systems go head to head was very interesting.

Pretty Good Cultivation Story

I enjoyed this story and found it had a lot of good cultivation aspects.

The main character easily makes friends and is willing to question and rethink his beliefs when his friends talk to him about them. I find this a particularly important trait in a main character.

I read several negative reviews that caused me to question buying this book. However, I decided to buy it and see what I think. I ended up disagreeing with most of them. My only criticism is that it does seem t like an early work for the author.

One of the negative reviews said that the main character accepted the system was a valid path to power but didn't accept it himself for stupid reasons. I disagree with this, he indicates that if he accepts the system help, that the system could later take it away. (Which is later confirmed.) He is also from a cultivator environment raised on challenging the heavens.

There were other negative reviews, and I'm not going to try to debunk each of them. But in my opinion its a good novel with a lot of fun cultivation aspects. If you enjoy cultivation audio books, try it out!

needs a lot of work

the MC's dialogue is that of a young teen's power fulfillment fantasy, crowing about accomplishments that are as incomparable as they are inconsistent. beyond dialogue problems, the progression system is lacking in detail or subtlety or consistency. there is also an odd iver use of the word susara. there are a ton of litrpg titles, this is one of the ones you should skip.

Trash MC yet again! Return!!!

Well, I checked it out and this was another garbage MC who seems to be clueless. This is built as he is supposed to be a master of a sect but doesn’t seem to understand anything at all. I get that he’s in a new world, but this is madness whenever he is just clueless to the world of people. He also refuses to get in with the leveling even after saying that the leveling seems stronger. Yea, this isn’t for me, a big fat return, I have listened to a lot more well-rounded and better Litrpg. If you think about this it doesn't make sense to not get the leveling system since he wants to be stronger.
