About this listen

Hardly have they left the Forest of Ire and its horrors behind them when the Thirteenth Paladin decides to head for the Green Sea with his friends to fulfil his old promise of bringing the necromancer to justice, who has been holding the fertile lands surrounding the horse people and their Paladin, Blazing Eyes, in his bony grip for far too long. But it is not alone the necromancer with his deadly traps who is testing the companions. HE, WHO FORCES has his own plans to bring death and destruction to the Paladins. And then, to top it all off, the gods play a trick that none of them would ever have expected . . .

decent story

nothing really but why change the narrator from this book to the next .... it's like a guide that's been with you since the beginning and then at the very end you get past on to a new younger and inexperienced guide ... sad really ..... I love the story though

An entertaining and worthy addition to the series

The plot twists and turns were motivating and capture the readers' interest. This is well worth the read.

My favorite in the series so far

I love everything about this series and this is my favorite book out of the 10 that I have listened to so far.

The characters are fun and likable, and they really crack me up without making the story goofy.

My Least Favorite

At no fault of the Narrator, while he did a great job, Gilbert Jackson brought the characters to life, especially my two favorite Hoodi-nee and Kulon. I read Gilbert Jackson, but something wasn't right.

I tend to hide away in books due to the state of the world, but this book was narrated with so many stereotypes of the characters.

Even the story line had a bit of a racist scent wifting from it. The whole Soul mate situation for me could have been way better. For some reason, I new this Paladin was gonna ......., I don't know why. He was reduced in standing, shunned, and basically had no voice. He had no real history really.
His animal was a ......... really (or hunter) I might be wrong, but why not an un-darkened Bear or Bison... Heck, fist of iron had a better outcome. Lol! Lastly, I thought maybe the gods would send the Soulmate over to Blaze. But, that's why I read and not write.

I want to be proven wrong.

The Soul mate drama was like pulling teeth, when getting married should have solved the problem in my mind anyway. Lol!

Overall still a good book, it just pissed me off

Had me nerve wracked this time

I lived book 1-8 because I just wanted a good old fantasy adventure to listen to without political agendas being forced on the reader, where good overcomes evil, while I’m cleaning the house or driving. I don’t want it to have edge of the seat twists, or suspense, or crying. I just wanted something nice to listen to. And that’s how it was until this book… Oh man.. I cried, I was angry at Aren and one other character, for the first time I couldn’t predict what the author would do, and it really stressed me out. I just wanted a nice predictable vanilla story lol. Hopefully the next book is less dramatic, but I’m hooked.

Must read adventure love romance funny sad all the requirements to hook you, a book you can’t put down, when you do you find every moment reading… extra trips to the bathroom just to read to find out what happens…

The development of the wolf.

I enjoy the author's talent for the development of the conservations of the soul animal and their masters. I have had pets that would have said the same things if they could talk.
