About this listen

"As Dr. Nathan Bryan clearly points out, there’s one miracle molecule in your body that is largely responsible for your health and longevity…NITRIC OXIDE." —Lou Ignarro, 1998 Nobel Prize Winner in Physiology or Medicine

The Secret of Nitric Oxide by Dr Nathan Bryan may be one of the most important books that you will ever read..." —Mark C. Houston, M.D., M.S., M.Sc., Director, Hypertension Institute and Vascular Biology, Saint Thomas Hospital

"Dr Bryan masterfully unveils the life-changing potential of nitric oxide, from its Nobel Prize-winning discovery to its transformative role in health and disease..." —Robert Lufkin M.D., NYT bestselling author of Lies I Taught In Medical School and medical school professor

"I enthusiastically endorse this book and urge all who care about health and healthy longevity to read it and incorporate this knowledge into your life..." —Felice Gersh, M.D., Medical Director, Integrative Medical Group of Irvine

The remarkable discovery of the molecule nitric oxide or NO back in the early 1980s revolutionized vascular biology and the understanding of chronic disease. Robert F. Furchgott, Louis J. Ignarro, and Ferid Murad won the 1998 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for their discoveries about nitric oxide. Several years later, one man and his discoveries cracked the code on developing a solid dose form of nitric oxide gas as an oral delivery and also a dual-chamber delivery for topical applications. This book will take the reader through the early life of Dr. Bryan through his education and research that led to these important discoveries and will inspire, motivate and encourage others to follow their dreams and not give up even when it seems the cards are stacked against you.

Dr. Nathan S. Bryan is a rare biomedical scientist of Nitric Oxide who is committed to sharing with us how best to get this molecule through food, diet and nutrition as well as a pure molecule in the form of a medicine. His seminal discoveries in the field of nitric oxide have resulted in several dozen issued U.S. and International patents. This book chronicles a lifetime of work on nitric oxide and how Dr. Bryan has been able to see what others have seen but to think what no one else has thought. The technology developed by Dr. Bryan will transform healthcare and the treatment of patients over the next 100 years. Dr. Bryan and his research has been covered in several magazine articles.

more abut his life than what NO can do. YouTube interviews have better info than the book

wish there was a pdf of info stated in book

In this case a podcast initially started my interest. My preferred input is Audible, but has an hour or research papers not easily to search, link or recall for reference.
I was able to use do my research pretty well with a special ai program. perplexity.ai using research mode instead of search
Great journey into health. ☺️

The decades of research on a great natural process.

I have been through many books on the platform, but this is the first time for a book that used Virtual Voice for narration. My only issue with it throughout the book was the way certain words were pronounced, but with as much wealth of knowledge is listed in these pages does it really matter?

Have heard of nitric oxide for years, but only recently stumbled upon a youtube interview with Nathan Bryan and then his own channel thereafter. The breakdown in this book of how many roles NO plays in the body is amazing. I have left this book feeling like there is a vast world of knowledge on the subject of NO that I still have yet to travel, but also feeling like I am entering that world with a solid foundation on the subject after completing this title. Yes, I would have loved a pdf attachment outlining some of the references throughout the book as most other audible titles do, but I'm also the type that buys the physical book to read along with the audible version.

This information has given me a some many use applications for my own body, but has given me a chance to help my mother with her health at a time she really needs it.
To whoever reads this just read the book. If you have come here on a health journey this may be one of the most useful and priceless pieces of knowledge you can attain on your path to wellness.

Thank you Nathan for all of things you had to overcome on your mission to bring this information forward to the world. I look forward to reading this title many more times to adsorb as much as I possibly can and to all of your future work.

Wealth of Knowledge

The AI narration tech is a long way from acceptable, indeed is barely listenable. And there are regular references to graphical elements that were NOT made available to the listener. Though Ryan is terrific, his publisher utterly failed him. Don't waste money or credits on this sh**. Buy the hard copy.

AI narrator fail

The A.I. voice mis pronounced NO as "no", leading to massive confusion about the content. Alos the A.I. narration had inappropriate pauses throughout also creates a lot of confusion about the meaning. I will not be buying nor recommending any books that use A.I. unless it improves massively.

A.I. narration ruins the book.
