I think this book/audiobook is a great guide for the person who has the dedication or need, time, and perhaps money, to commit to the rather strict requirements. It is also great advice and information for anyone who wants to improve their health by reducing sugar; however, I think it is unrealistic for many of us. While the idea of refraining from alcohol consumption is not so hard, the idea of never going out to eat again and forever eliminating cakes, cookies and several other foods, seems unrealistic, unless you are a hermit or live in a family or colony of like minded individuals. Additionally, inspecting all food labels, finding and preparing no-sugar recipes or finding no-sugar alternatives, requires additional time and money that many working people just don't have. And if you have a family with children or picky eaters, forget about it, or be prepared to spend more time and money making different meals.

That said, I think anyone can benefit using this guide to reduce and minimize sugar intake, manage sugar cravings, and prevent sugar addiction. The book details the health benefits of avoiding sugar and includes bad and good foods, exercise advice, and the effects of sugar detox on the body and mood. It also includes sample detox menus. It explains why we have sugar cravings, the difference between sugar addiction and sugar cravings, and provides strategies to fight cravings.

The narration is pretty good. It's fast moving, well-edited, and keeps your interest.

After I stopped drinking, I experienced horrible sugar cravings. I was so fed up that I got this book and followed the regimen almost to a tee... my sugar and salt cravings vanished the first day. I'm not sure how it works; it may be the vitamins or the diet, but it worked like a charm.
