Interesting guide that helps your argument

After listening to this audiobook you will feel confident about your decision to eat vegan (or less meat). It goes beyond that and reminds you of athletes that have successfully broken records or competed while following a vegan diet. Ultimately, if you're looking for a book that will help connect you with all the reasons eating a vegan diet is helpful for yourself and the planet, this is your book!

All about “beef”

I’m a vegan for health reasons. This book gave some good points of other reasons why my choice is beneficial (environment & saving an animal life). But it seems argumentative and overly passionate to me. This talks about even separating yourself from a loved one because “time away will allow them to understand how passionate you are”. I loved how each chapter is titled for which rebuttal you may want to use when in any food disagreement. Overall I disagreed with many statements in here but for the book premise I understand how my one action can affect so many things in the life cycle.

Age old discussion with a twist..

To eat meat or not eat meat, that is the question….I must say I’m one of the people described in this book (meat lover and professed animal lover). It is a conflicting state to live in. Not too long ago a man was in the news because his community wanted him charged with animal cruelty for killing and cooking his dog. Where he was from that was the norm. Different meals for different people. This book really makes some great arguments for being vegan. If you’re considering being a vegan this book gives great support. On a side note…I love the play on words with the title! Lol!!

A must listen to

I was hesitant listening to this book as I am one who hides my head when it comes to the animal food industry. I must say that I am glad I listened to this book. So many topics covered and myths debunked with reasoning. I have been wanting to change over to vegan but was worried I wouldn’t stick with it. After listening to this book I have a greater understanding of why I would want to begin to change my lifestyle and stick to it. This book is a great book for anyone looking for more understanding of the vegan life

Better understanding of the Vegan lifestyle

After a brief history lesson, the audiobook discusses human emotions philosophies about Veganism. I found most of these counterpoints interesting. The author brings up several good points, many of which I had no idea about. For instance, I never knew about the "Dog Meat Festival." The book also debunks myths about dairy, which I agree with since I'm trying to cut down on my own dairy intake. I stopped using half & half in my coffee long ago! The narration is good, and the information is helpful and well researched. If you are looking for an excellent resource to learn about Veganism, then get this audiobook.

Excellent Learning Tool

I learned a lot of information that I did not know when it comes to our food system. The author gave me enough tools to make a serious decision on changing my eating habits. Great book!

Thorough but not ultimate

A very comprehensive list of common objections and criticisms people have of veganism, but some arguments are lacking in detail (like why free range is not what people think it is) and there’s little advice on what to do if the person you’re arguing with decides to bite the bullet on counter arguments in the book. The argument against subjective morality is the most lacking, but for a true defense against moral subjectivity you should read a book like “The Case for Animal Rights” by Tom Reegan. However, this book is more than sufficient for answering most objections you’ll come across in day to day conversation.

Excellent

I became a Vegan 5 years age when I found out about the Forks over Knives movement. I had
many medical problems which had me on lots of medications. Read this little book and followed its advise. YOUR ARE WHAT YOU EAT. I am now off all my medication and feeling great. I do have a doctor who helps me monitor my health. All it took was changing my eating habits. This book will tell you everything you need to know when someone ask you why you became vegan. It's almost too easy to be true. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain. Cheers
