About this listen

Welcome to Nocturne Falls, the town that celebrates Halloween 365 days a year. The tourists think it's all a show: the vampires, the werewolves, the witches, the occasional gargoyle flying through the sky. But the supernaturals populating the town know better. Living in Nocturne Falls means being yourself - fangs, fur, and all.

Getting arrested wasn't on werewolf Ivy Kincaid's agenda when she arrived in Nocturne Falls, but her life rarely goes according to plan. The upside of spending the night in the local lock-up is finding a hotel room is no longer a worry...but the downside is the man she's come to marry will get his first impression of her behind bars. That's not exactly the way Ivy was hoping to meet her pack's sworn enemy...aka her fiancé.

Sheriff (and werewolf) Hank Merrow is the alpha's heir. Everything he's ever done, from becoming an Army Ranger to serving in law enforcement, has been in preparation for the day he'll take over. Getting married to cement a shaky truce is no different. Hank will do his duty, even if it means shackling himself to a woman he has no intention of liking, let alone loving. But Ivy is nothing like Hank expected. As feisty as she is beautiful, she's as determined as he is to make a go of marriage for the sake of peace between their packs. The trouble is, Ivy has secrets that could destroy everything Hank holds dear...including his newfound love for her.

Tired of listening to stories about humans? Consider the werewolf! Taking various forms over the course of centuries and mythologies, often as flesh-devourers, werewolves now commonly appear in fantasy and romance novels as shape-shifters. The shape-shifting element in werewolves' stories has almost humanized them, depicting the internal struggles we all face within ourselves, on some level or another.

This is book 2 in the Nocturne Falls series and I enjoyed it alot. Very funny! I hope Audible gets the rest of the series soon!

Great series

Whereas Book 1 read like a stage-setting for a larger work, with little action and too much reflection, Book 2 moves out and keeps on going at a good pace. Now I'm looking forward to Book 3.

The Nocturne series gets better in book 2.

I love this book. It draws you in and you can't wait to get to the end of the story. The narrator was awesome. Keep it up. So far I love the series.

Love it

It is a cutesy romance novel with sexy male lead and a couple twists. The idea of a playful town where it celebrates Halloween all year round is very cute. I like the characters and it was a fun trashy novel to read.

What made the experience of listening to The Werewolf Meets His Match the most enjoyable?

The narration is fantastic

Would you recommend The Werewolf Meets His Match to your friends? Why or why not?

I would recommend it but only because I really enjoy book 1 and 3 of the series. I wasn't a huge fan of this plot.

What does B.J. Harrison bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

The narration is superb, the voices Harrison gives to the characters really makes them come to life.

Any additional comments?

I loved book 1 and 3 in this series. Book 2? Meh. It wasn't great, BUT, keep on reading because book 3 is back on track.

Not as good as the first book in the series

I enjoyed this book very much. The plot is fantastic. Ivy and Hank falling in love is so beautiful. Hank is such a hero! Hank and his family and friends unit together to help Ivy and her son Charlie very well performed by B J Harrison. I hope that book three will be published soon.

VERY GOOD. WELL WRITTEN AND NARRATED.

What a fun quick read. I've read the first book in the series some time ago and I enjoyed it and that's what inspired me to listen to the audiobook of the 2nd book in the Nocturne Falls series. This was a book I needed to read, or shall I say listen to, after the last book I read left me feeling deflated.

I enjoy the writing style of Kristen Painter in these books. Very easy going, steady pace, no wasting time with unnecessary details that aren't pertinent to moving the story along, a little bit of humor here and there, lots of sparks and chemistry with her leading characters that the reader can clearly feel, and just enough supernatural to make it fun but not too over the top. The first book and this book focuses on the romance with a supernatural secondary story line and each book deals with a bit of drama, just enough to spice things up. Just the way I like my romances.

As for narrator B.J. Harrison, I think he did a fantastic job!! He really made the story come alive.

What a Wolfing Good Story

What’s better than a vampire romance? A werewolf on werewolf romance involving a destined alpha and the daughter of an alpha with a ‘non-shifter’ son. This Nocturn Falls tale, excuse me tail, is great fun and heartwarming. My only complaint would be that B.J. Harrison’s portrayal of the Kincaid men, including Sam, Ivy’s favorite brother, his portrayals make the voices annoying and nails on chalkboard aggravating. As Sam moves to Nocturne Falls i think he may play a part somewhere else in the series, but the annoying voice would make the character as equally annoying.

Furry furious fun
