About this listen

An experimental high-tech program is stolen and the Department of Defense courier found dead, with no obvious signs of murder.

Colonel Thomas, head of security for MIGIsoft contacts the FBI and begins to look for answers. Before the night is over, his boss is killed inside a high security compound. With no idea how the courier was killed or security was breached, Colonel Thomas reaches out to Trace Conner, a Ninjutsu teacher, for his expertise. What starts as a security evaluation, becomes a life or death struggle in corporate espionage.

Can a modern day ninja prevail against a far more experienced killer?

An excellent listen!

An excellent read, full of suspense, action, intellect, and real technique. Very visual and easy to listen to, it had me reliving my martial arts days.

Ninjutsu meets Tom Clancy, but better!

Adventurous, funny, and accurate- great book!

The audio sounds off, so that’s a little distracting at first but it is narrated well, the story is fun it’s detailed accurately but moves along nicely, my boys and I liked listening to it while driving, it kept me and my 7 year old engaged so I’d say that’s bonus points for sure. :) I’m excited for the next book to be on audible

Excellent New Series!

I picked this book up on a whim. Thought it might be interesting but have never heard of this author and no reviews. That’s one good thing about Audible, I figured I could always return it! Anyw, that’s the last thing I’m going to do.
This is a high octane, fast paced thriller that is hard to put down. The storyline is very good. The characters are believable and and the plot is intense. There is an unbeatable assassin who prefers using his hands. Of course our hero is well trained in the same martial arts but which one B is better. The hand to hand fight scenes are detailed and brought to life. This author certainly has a way with words.
The narration is good except that it sounds like the narrator is talking through a tin can.
This book is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Holy cow, what bad narration!

I couldn't listen to the book, at all. So giving the actual book no stars is a disservice, as would be any other star rating. But I simply couldn't listen to this book. The narrator, obviously a relative by the name, has such a nasal voice and rushes through the words, so there is no way to realize a sentence ended. I'm sorry, but I kept skipping forward to see if the narration ever got better. It didn't. I couldn't narrate a book, because the tone of voice, delivery, and cadence are obviously very hard to achieve in harmony. The difference is, that I don't try to narrate books. This is a book that I'm returning.
