Publisher's summary

Book 11 in the sensational Wisteria Witches Mysteries series by USA Today best-selling author Angela Pepper!

Zara Riddle was looking forward to her first Halloween as a witch. Then the little girl ghost showed up. Zara puts costume shopping on hold, rolls up her sleeves, and does her usual "witcher-i-doo".

But nothing works as planned. Mistakes are made. Dinner parties are ruined. (More than usual.) Could this stubborn spirit be connected to a family member's past? Perhaps the "big tragic secret" nobody talks about?

Zara won't rest until she gets to the truth, even if means pushing the whole coven to the breaking point. And break they do.

In Wisteria, when things start falling apart, there's no telling what powerful forces will be unleashed.

Especially on All Hallow's Eve.

Great Narrator!

witches, mystery, small-town, situational-humor, verbal-humor

I know that this is book 11 in a series, and I know that I've read all the previous books, but I still think that any one of them can be a good fun stand-alone. Although this is by way of being a backstory to the others, it has the feeling of a prequel with all things new again. And the laugh-o-meter is still stuck on high! No recap here and spoilers are silly when the best part of the book is how it makes us laugh regardless of life!
The audio is narrated by Tiffany Williams who has the character interpretation skills of an operatic coloratura (that means that she can make character definitions no matter how many there are!).

Another well done addition to the series...

It's another very well written and very well narrated installment in the Wisteria Witches series.

As in all the books in the series you can expect the unexpected; nothing turns out as planned, nothing works the way it should and Zara really has to think hard to finally find the solution to all the problems and mishaps on the way to the happy ending. And also this time we go back and find out a bit more about Zara's aunt Zinnia - which is a nice turn of events, even though it's not happy times we're revisiting...

Narration by Ms Williams is as good as in the previous installments; she gives life to all the characters, perfectly matching voices to their personalities. A very good job, for sure :)

Halloween in Wisteria!

How much fun would it be to be in Wisteria during Halloween? With Zara in town? Best Halloween ever! All jokes aside though this is more of a Zinnia/Zara crossover story and it's not all pumpkins and candy corn. We learn a LOT about Zinnia and many questions regarding her past are answered. Of course there is comedy and teenage angst as well as some redecorating houseness and crazy Wyvern shenanigans. I love this series and will continue to devour each installment, however as Halloween is my favorite this one was more fun than others for me. As always expertly narrated and fun. Trigger warnings: Child death and drug abuse

Most of this series - all, until this volume - is light-hearted and fun. This book is much more serious and includes drug abuse (disguised as magical tea, but same diff) to self medicate and the death of a child. It should include trigger warnings. Since it doesn't, I'm putting them here. Don't read this book if these will be problematic for you.

They weren't problematic for me, but I won't read further. I enjoy this series because it's a distraction from the awfulness of life and provides a bit of drama and intrigue without being depressing or stressful. This particular volume was both, so it's reached its end for me. Thanks for the great books this far, I enjoyed them until this one!

Another Great Wisteria Mystery

I really enjoy this series, it's geared for the YA to adult reader but also still a fairly clean read. I love Zara's sass and it is fun to watch her interact with the different characters. This book does some hopping around in terms of flashbacks that slowly help you to piece the puzzle together. The narration is perfect as always and really just makes this a fun listen. This is book 11 so I would recommend starting the series from the beginning or you will be a touch lost.

Just imagine Halloween in Wisteria.........

Wisteria Woven is the eleventh book in this highly entertaining series about Zara Riddle, a single-mom, librarian and fledgling witch. Although each book has a separate mystery, the series really should be read in order to understand all the secondary characters, backgrounds and sub-plots. Wisteria Woven counts down the days to Halloween, and even the most vivid imagination can't fully picture the craziness that a paranormal town like Wisteria can achieve. Zara is her usual zany and upbeat self as she plans a Halloween bash to rival the annual gala thrown by the elite of the paranormal world. However, something more than ghouls and goblins threatens the festive mood and even the lives of those Zara most cherishes. As Zara tries to decide how to handle the ghost of a small child that seems to be draining the life from her Aunt Zinnia, the author gives us brief glimpses into a terribly tragedy in Zinnia's past. I must admit that I cried ugly tears during a couple of these scenes, and I am very thankful that Zara and her companions in mischief kept the mood otherwise comedic. As always, when finishing this book, I was not only incredibly impressed by this author's creativity and originality but excited to hear what she will come up with next for Zara and her Wisteria friends.

Tiffany Williams narrates all of Zara's books, and I can't imagine a better choice for Zara's unique personality and even more unique life in Wisteria. Her performance is flawless, and she does a wonderful job of differentiating between all the characters. I especially love her delivery of Zara, her daughter Zoey, and her boss at the library. You will have to listen to understand just how talented is the team of Angela Pepper and Tiffany Williams. I envy those at the beginning of the series; you have such a fun journey ahead of you.
