💫 We're so WORTHY! 🦋 Listen - Read - Share 🔆
Do you ever doubt yourself? Feel like you are not enough? Like Jamie, as an adoptee, there were times growing up that left me wondering about my place in the world.
✨️Worthy allows Jamie, an adopted person, to examine so many shared thoughts about BEING [__good/smart/thin__] ENOUGH over the years that it was both comforting and sad to have traveled many of the same paths, including so much doubt and second-guessing about my purpose and reason for being.
Thankfully, Jamie has examined common lies women often grow up with, and she has figured things out [e.g., don't wait on the weight; we're not crazy, we're just first; you can't hide from yourself and heal at the same time, etc.), and shares her stories with such clarity, heart ❤️, fun, love, respect and appreciation for others that it was easy to understand and believe new perspectives that have already caused a huge change in my self awareness. ‼️
With gentle humor, Jamie apologizes to her Grandma for using salty language and attempts to explain twerking and other terms her granny may find challenging to read or hear. Although Jamie shares her religion and Christian beliefs throughout the book, she respects and leaves room for others to interpret a higher power in their own ways. I guess that means that the book didn't feel "preachy" to me, although Jamie has been called to share these lessons with us.
Reading and listening to Jamie's words throughout ✨️Worthy, I felt blessed to have been introduced to her world, family members, and particularly to 🟡 Nina, her mother, whose words sparked💥 Jamie's enlightenment.
Highly recommend for anyone who has doubts or has let fear hold them back from a dream or better life. We are enough. We are worthy. Stop waiting, get reading/listening. 💜📖
