seems to be very useful information

I'd heard this book mentioned twice through different sources - once by Dr John Gottman and once somewhere else I don't recall. So, I figured it was time to listen to this book since I spend a lot of time reading and taking notes on content like this for the coaching that I do.

I loved learning all of the statistics about what works and doesn't work in relationship and about what people like and don't like. And much of it seems very accurate. But I take the content with a grain of salt understanding that studies like those this book is based on present statistics as though they're facts without giving clear details on how those studies were performed to ensure accuracy. They also don't offer a lot of context around the way they took surveys, which leaves the listener having to make assumptions that the statistics and details related to those statistics presented in the book are just truth, which is not accurate. Either way, I loved learning these details and I intend to use the statistics in the book.

Good content, narrator is too florid

I was really interested in the content of this book, but the narrator sounds like she’s reading a cheeky romance novel and I can not handle it.
This is a science book. I understand that it’s about compatibility and relationships. But it does not need to sound like a rom com narrator talking over a 1980s Disney love story.
I’ll be finding the book version at the library to finish it.
