About this listen

Noah and Teagan's fragile relationship never stood a chance - not with Noah's meddling stepsister and Teagan's overbearing uncle - not to mention Noah's aggressive ex, Reece, and the volatile criminal gang out for the blood of both of them.

Fast forward to seven years later, and Noah, fresh out of a prison cell, has taken the sports world by storm. He's the best. A fighter. The champ. Unattainable. Unbeatable. But none of that matters to Noah. All he wants is vindication and revenge on the woman who broke his heart and abandoned him when he needed her most - his Thorn.

Teagan has spent the last seven years licking her wounds in a backstreet flat in Cork City. Left reeling over Noah's actions that night, Teagan has spent years trying to piece her life back together, but the memory of what she saw that night continues to haunt her, making her bitter and cold. Desperate to move on from Noah once and for all, Teagan throws herself into a relationship with her first love, Liam, forcing herself to move on despite the protests of her heart.

One fateful night brings the pair back together again. For Noah, it's a triumph. For Teagan, it's a travesty. Old feelings burst to the surface, burning brighter and hotter than ever before, and throwing a spanner in the works for Teagan's fickle relationship with Liam.

But are their feelings too strong to deny? Can she let go of the past? Can Noah trust the woman who walked away from him?

Contains mature themes.

good continuation of the story. not crazy about the female narrator she goes back and forth from British to Irish but her emotions are greatly done

very good story

So the back story repeating is a little off putting and annoying. Teagan’s teenage reactions and behaviors when she’s supposedly 25 is so stupid but other than that I loved their continuing story. Narration was wonderful too

Not as great as the first book but still good

I really enjoyed this one! It picks up years later, after Noah has gotten out of prison and is making it in the MMA. Teagan and Hope, who became her best friend, ran away to Ireland and they have been their ever since. They have been each other's support and solace as they both mourn relationships that were their everything and took an ugly turn south and ended. They are both trying to move forward but having trouble with it. Then Noah ends up running into Hope at a club/bar and follows her back to Teagan and it starts their clash/second chance again as neither have gotten over the other but they have some big misunderstandings that they have to deal with and hurts from that that have been festering for years. We get glances of the past and pieces filled in as the story continues and we watch them deal with the threat that has come from the past to try and derail and ruin them again. They also have some push back from Noah's trainers/coach/friends and Teagan is back to getting the nasty comments and bullying in order to be with Noah again. They have to rebuild their trust and work through things in order to find their way forward and for it to be a good, stable relationship. They have plenty of love and chemistry is off the charts but they have to put in the work and find their way through the obstacles again. This story was well done and engaging. I loved getting to see more of Noah and Teagan as well as their friends and family. This one does leave you on a cliffhanger again, a heartbreaking one and I definitely needed the next one right away.
The narrators did a good job with the characters and bringing it to life. The accents were well done and they did a good job of showcasing the emotion and action happening in the story.

Entertaining and engaging story!

I love the story but there is so much back story from the previous books. it’s repetitive and the story from both female and male character again is the same story from just both sides. I’m almost not interested in the next book because of the backstory I know I will have to listen to before I hear something new.

So much back story

I just hate it. Hate the narrators, hate the wishy washy characters, hate the bully then beg for forgiveness attacks, hate that she takes him back after she is supposed to be such a force to be taken on, hate all their men blaming her for him not controlling himself. I didn’t finish this and i have no plans continue anymore in this series and i am very very disappointed because i absolutely loved The Boys of Tommen series and was hoping for something in that range but this is just yuck for me.

Nope i am done.

This story was good but the back story was a little annoying. Also the next series is not part of the audible package so I feel cheated. I gave four stars for Nelson Hobbs. The female reading style was annoying and I wouldn’t pay to hear her unless it’s part of audible package.

Feel cheated
